Friendly and open-minded, Shelly is eager to greet strangers and make new friends. She comes off as a bubbly, high-energy girl who often has a hard time controlling her excitement. High pitched whines and squeaky barks often go paw-in-paw with her joy and happiness. She'll often volunteer to show new-comers around and help them feel welcome and at home, never one to judge a dog on their breed or background. In fact, she doesn't seem to have a mean or judgmental bone in her entire body, a fault that has been exploited before. She wants desperately to believe there is goodness and kindness in everyone she meets, easily falling for lies and silver-tongue.
While adventurous, Shelly is unfortunately, at her core, a coward. Anyone larger or with a bark more vicious than hers, will have that sweet head droop and her tail flinch between her legs. She is not a fighter and will surrender at the threat of physical violence if no escape is possible.

Pre-Group History: Shelly's parents were purebred pets that met for a brief moment one warm summer day, when her father won the war with the garden gate. It was a fleeting meeting, but the result where eight yapping puppies each mottled white and red, some taking after their heavy build father, others looking more like their sleek mother. For twelve weeks Shelly lived with her mother's owners, a shy quiet puppy, who watched from her hiding place under the couch, as her siblings where picked up by smiling strangers and whisked away. She didn't understand and it terrified her so, that when a kind woman finally picked her, she whined all the way to her new home, and proceeded to hide for the rest of that day. Of course she soon learned that her new owner wanted nothing but the best for her, to love her and protect her.
Her owner recently moved to Canidale perusing her career, and while Shelly misses her old home and friends, she absolutely loves this new loose leash law! And she looks forward to forging new friendships and setting down roots.
