HistoryPre-Group

Born to a healthy pair of shire-mix breeds, Daemyn had an excellent start in life. He was brought up in a deeply religious family composed of his father Gavin and mother Amelia, both loving and doting. He was a rambunctious little thing, always getting himself into trouble and usually able to weasel out of it simply by looking adorable. It worked especially well with his mother, who saw Daemyn as the apple of her eye, leaving his father to be the tough disciplinarian. Despite a harsh no-nonsense approach to raising a foal, father and son bonded deeply and the little family was very happy.
At the age of 6, Daemyn was granted a younger brother, though little Taryn nearly didn't make it. Both Amelia and her birthing assistant thought the newborn to be dead, but it was Daemyn's nudging nose and insisting words which had them come to the wonderful realization, that tiny Taryn was struggling to breathe. Daemyn was smitten with his little brother, especially as Amelia proclaimed Taryn's survival a miracle. In confidentiality, she called her eldest a hero for saving Taryn. Those words weighed heavily in Daemyn's mind and he would do anything to guide and protect his little brother in the years to come.
As Daemyn grew into a young teenager, his father began grooming him to follow in his hoof-steps and take up the mantle of Guardian. At first, Daemyn had reservations and dreams to pursue, but his father made excellent if not harsh points, stamping out any desire to travel and see the world, instilling instead a deep-rooted sense of duty and loyalty towards the herd. Once Daemyn embraced this route in life, he did so with great enthusiasm, working tirelessly to become fit enough to protect the Talori any way possible.
He did, however, find time to discover young love and enjoyed a few fleeting weeks in the company of another young stallion, Owen. It wasn't until his mother finally stepped in and declared that he had 'experimented' enough and forbade him to see Owen again, that Daemyn realized his feelings ran much deeper than simple friendship. He never shared these troublesome thoughts, afraid of being branded sick or deranged. So he pretended to be like everybody else, struggling daily to hide any hints of what might be going on in his mind.
While juggling his training, Daemyn remained as close to his brother as he could, trying to influence Taryn in the best possible way. He desperately wanted his younger brother to be as successful as himself and to mend the broken relationship with their parents. Amelia was growing increasingly frustrated with her youngest's none-Talorian behavior and even level-headed Gavin was losing his patience.
Daemyn secretly admired his brother's ability to speak his mind so freely, with no worry of the consequences. He wished for the same courage, to be able to say exactly what he wanted to, instead of what was right. He tried to reason with both sides, but no matter how hard he tried, he saw Taryn drifting further and further from the family.
In his mid-twenties, Daemyn became a Guardian. The position demanded most, if not all, of his time, and he found himself losing track of what happened at home. He began to pick up unsettling rumors that planted Taryn in illegal activity and soon after Amelia cast her youngest out as a failure and 'no son of hers'. It shocked Daemyn to the core that his parents could cast out their own blood, but once more he lacked the courage to speak up.
As time progressed not much changed in Daemyn's life. He went about his work without question or argument, settling into what some would consider a predictable, boring path through life. His parents have been mumbling about marriage for a while, but nothing has yet to come of it. Secretly Daemyn is desperate for a change or at least a small adventure, but unless it lands right in front of him and takes him by the ear, he'll likely stick to the same old routine.

- Betrothed to Kalakara , an arranged marriage. Daemyn's parents are concerned because of his age (too old to be a bachelor!) and while Kali has a history that almost makes Amelia pass out, she is eventually deemed a fitting partner.
Dae is not thrilled but cannot go against the wish of his family, so he does his best and soon finds a friendship growing.

Chapter One: (Plot 001: Safety in Numbers )
- The chaos at the Solstice Celebration hit Daemyn hard. Never had he expected a child to be the chosen sacrifice, and it made him question his religious beliefs deeply. The following chaos shook him further. He couldn't believe how fast the Talorian people turned on one another for having or lacking wings.
Since he had several winged friends whose health he feared for, Daemyn met with Serene , Zenith , Farsight , Kalakara and Tansy . Their meeting was cut short when Extremists attacked. Daemyn did the only right thing there was to do and aided his friends in escaping the chaos, hiding away at a safe location in the wilderness.

- Due to his 'sympathizing' with the Pegasi, Daemyn has found himself on the list of citizens to be deported to Torrine, 'for their own safety'. He is outraged that his loyalty has come into question simply because he kept winged citizens safe. It has him revisiting many old questions regarding the Talorian ways.

- Daemyn and Kalakara marry in Torrine.

Chapter Two: (Plot 202: Between a Rock and a Hard Place )
- Daemyn has more or less come to terms with his stay in Torrine, and he spends the time with his wife mostly. He seeks out his friends on occasion, making sure to keep in touch with them, and also checks up with the local Guardians often. He is determined to prove that he is and always will be loyal to the herd. He hopes that it will make his and Kalakara's stay shorter.

- Gathering with friends, Daemyn, and the others are approached by pegasi strangers, calling themselves the Freedom's Flight. In Daemyn's eyes, they are terrorists that are using unnecessary bloodshed to try and change the ways of the herd. They offer the group of friends freedom, by accepting them into the flight. Daemyn is shocked to find that Sonador is an old member of this violent rebellion, and he believes the three strangers, Torsten , Tabitha , and Izel are in Torrine just to bust out their old spy. The shock doesn't end when Tansy announces that she will be joining the flight.
Daemyn nearly attacks the pegasi, held back only by his friends and wife, who manages to calm him long enough to make a 'calm' decision. He will keep Tansy and Sonador's whereabouts a secret, not wishing any harm upon them.

- Daemyn grows bitter at this betrayal not only towards the group of friends but the herd as well. He vows that he will work to bring changes to the herd, to open eyes and enlighten the Talorians. He has come to believe, firmly, that Pegasi are as valuable as any other breed and that changes can be made peacefully.

Pre-Chapter Three:
- Kalakara shares her pregnancy with Daemyn, and he is overjoyed, worried, and fearful. First of how his family will receive another break with tradition, and secondly he fears for the unborn child. Talori is a seething pot ready to spill over the edges at any moment, and he is extremely hesitant to bring new life into the world. In the following months, he and Kali share their worries often and begin to plan for the unborn one. They pray diligently at Cascades shrine, hoping to protect the child and make the difficult decision to administer aging potions. When Moree finally enters the world, Daemyn experiences a love far deeper than anything he could ever imagine. He knows, without a doubt, that he will do anything to keep his daughter safe. Anything.

Chapter Three: (Talori Plot 303: To Know Thy Enemy )
- Daemyn is plagued by what he reads in the heavens leading up to the Solstice Celebration . He sees death and destruction looming but ultimately pushes the warnings aside. Stars are only stars after all, and he has little faith in his own abilities.
- Bringing his family to the 'celebration', Daemyn is prepared to explain the whole even to his daughter, but before the impression can settle and his nerves can rest, the Flight attacks. Daemyn is cut off from Kalakara and Moree by smoke and the panicking crowd.
- Daemyn eventually finds himself with a handful of civilians; blind Keahi and her son Aisake, the unicorn Madoka and Ivarra . They are quickly surrounded by members of the Flight; Antiope , Ouusaldus , Milo , Whitaker , and Renata .
- Despite their best efforts (Daemyn draws blood from Whitaker as the poor fool rushes the seasoned guardian) the guardian and civilians are subdued as reinforcements decent.
- Daemyn is taken prisoner by the Flight and locked in Torrine once more. He has no knowledge of his family's whereabouts, their health or that Kali was pregnant.

Chapter Four: (Talori Plot 402: Defend Yourself )
- Together with fellow imprisoned Guardians, Daemyn has arranged for battle training for the mares in Torrine. News of Bethel's murder has made it clear that there will be no peaceful resolution. It is important that the mares learn to defend themselves.
- Daemyn, Gabriel(NPC) and Lucas(NPC) are joined by a handful of mares; Keahi , Corrine , Antheia , Minerva, and Cassandra .
- Training goes rather well despite including a blind mare and a wagon bound one, but all is interrupted when Daemyn's familiar Calathea warns of an approaching patrol. Only, it turns out to be rescuers and among them is Kalakara .
- Torn between his duty and a desperate wish to be reunited with his family, Daemyn leaves Torrine with the small band of equines and joins them at the Temple of Time where he is reunited with his daughter and introduced to his son.

Chapter Five: (Plot 502: Castle Crashers )
- Along with fellow Guardians and Her loyalists, Daemyn takes the fight to the Flight, attacking the Palace in an effort to drive the winged vermin out. Joined by his partner Kalakara, Daemyn sees a new side of them, making him realize that they are much more capable than what he ever gave them credit for.
- The appearance of the Emperor Hawkeye brings new energy and determination to Daemyn. He throws himself into the fight aggressively, ignoring the order for prisoners and fighting to maim and quite possibly kill. The Flight already maimed his daughter, so this is payback time.
- And then in one fell swoop, everything seems lost when Emperor Hawkeye falls to the enemy. Although the Flight members are taken prisoners, Daemyn feels no sense of justice. Instead, he feels defeat because he failed his most basic of training; Keeping the Emperor safe.
- Daemyn is furious that the Flight members are handed over to Serora rather than executed.

Chapter Six: (Serora 606: Run! )
- As part of the military aid promised to Serora, Daemyn accompanies a small group through the desert, acting as protection. Although he gets to reunite with Farsight and Zenith and is happy to see them both alive and healthy, he finds it difficult to reignite the old friendship, worried in part that Zenith hates him for the death of the Emperor. Invasive thoughts he just cannot shake.
- Voices in the wind have Daemyn warn the group to stay together and keep traveling, but the curiosity of others lead to a split as some go to investigate.
- The voices turn out to be Aodhian warriors and Daemyn hoofs it with Zenith on his back and Lynx at his side. They make it safely to their destination. Farsight, however, never reappears.

Chapter Seven: (Talori 703: Wreckage )
- Daemyn and four others; Gyda, Stormcry, Cinnamon and Ilhuicaatl, are all summoned by the Wave Mother to the ruins of Kiephis. They meet on the shore, uncertain of what lies ahead, but knowing in their hearts that Cascade will keep them safe from the now toxic water.
- As they descend beneath the waves, the group is indeed unharmed but have a sense of time being short. They rush to the city, closer to the goal that is pulling at their souls, but before they can reach it, they come across a child.
- An octopus hippocampus has survived pinned under the rubble, barely alive when the group arrives. They are torn by the urgency of their task and the desire to help the child. Ultimately the group splits in half, and the child, Nadia, is taken to safety by Gyda and Cinnamon.
- Daemyn, Stormcry and Ilhuicaatl continue the search and with another striking vision from Cascade, they find a pearl with veins of gold. The pearl, relic or whatever it is, is safe and brought to the surface before any of the group can be damaged by the toxic and acidic waters.

- The chaos at the Solstice Celebration hit Daemyn hard. Never had he expected a child to be the chosen sacrifice, and it made him question his religious beliefs deeply. The following chaos shook him further. He couldn't believe how fast the Talorian people turned on one another for having or lacking wings.
Since he had several winged friends whose health he feared for, Daemyn met with Serene , Zenith , Farsight , Kalakara and Tansy . Their meeting was cut short when Extremists attacked. Daemyn did the only right thing there was to do and aided his friends in escaping the chaos, hiding away at a safe location in the wilderness.

- Due to his 'sympathizing' with the Pegasi, Daemyn has found himself on the list of citizens to be deported to Torrine, 'for their own safety'. He is outraged that his loyalty has come into question simply because he kept winged citizens safe. It has him revisiting many old questions regarding the Talorian ways.

- Daemyn and Kalakara marry in Torrine.

Chapter Two: (Plot 202: Between a Rock and a Hard Place )
- Daemyn has more or less come to terms with his stay in Torrine, and he spends the time with his wife mostly. He seeks out his friends on occasion, making sure to keep in touch with them, and also checks up with the local Guardians often. He is determined to prove that he is and always will be loyal to the herd. He hopes that it will make his and Kalakara's stay shorter.

- Gathering with friends, Daemyn, and the others are approached by pegasi strangers, calling themselves the Freedom's Flight. In Daemyn's eyes, they are terrorists that are using unnecessary bloodshed to try and change the ways of the herd. They offer the group of friends freedom, by accepting them into the flight. Daemyn is shocked to find that Sonador is an old member of this violent rebellion, and he believes the three strangers, Torsten , Tabitha , and Izel are in Torrine just to bust out their old spy. The shock doesn't end when Tansy announces that she will be joining the flight.
Daemyn nearly attacks the pegasi, held back only by his friends and wife, who manages to calm him long enough to make a 'calm' decision. He will keep Tansy and Sonador's whereabouts a secret, not wishing any harm upon them.

- Daemyn grows bitter at this betrayal not only towards the group of friends but the herd as well. He vows that he will work to bring changes to the herd, to open eyes and enlighten the Talorians. He has come to believe, firmly, that Pegasi are as valuable as any other breed and that changes can be made peacefully.

Pre-Chapter Three:
- Kalakara shares her pregnancy with Daemyn, and he is overjoyed, worried, and fearful. First of how his family will receive another break with tradition, and secondly he fears for the unborn child. Talori is a seething pot ready to spill over the edges at any moment, and he is extremely hesitant to bring new life into the world. In the following months, he and Kali share their worries often and begin to plan for the unborn one. They pray diligently at Cascades shrine, hoping to protect the child and make the difficult decision to administer aging potions. When Moree finally enters the world, Daemyn experiences a love far deeper than anything he could ever imagine. He knows, without a doubt, that he will do anything to keep his daughter safe. Anything.

Chapter Three: (Talori Plot 303: To Know Thy Enemy )
- Daemyn is plagued by what he reads in the heavens leading up to the Solstice Celebration . He sees death and destruction looming but ultimately pushes the warnings aside. Stars are only stars after all, and he has little faith in his own abilities.
- Bringing his family to the 'celebration', Daemyn is prepared to explain the whole even to his daughter, but before the impression can settle and his nerves can rest, the Flight attacks. Daemyn is cut off from Kalakara and Moree by smoke and the panicking crowd.
- Daemyn eventually finds himself with a handful of civilians; blind Keahi and her son Aisake, the unicorn Madoka and Ivarra . They are quickly surrounded by members of the Flight; Antiope , Ouusaldus , Milo , Whitaker , and Renata .
- Despite their best efforts (Daemyn draws blood from Whitaker as the poor fool rushes the seasoned guardian) the guardian and civilians are subdued as reinforcements decent.
- Daemyn is taken prisoner by the Flight and locked in Torrine once more. He has no knowledge of his family's whereabouts, their health or that Kali was pregnant.

Chapter Four: (Talori Plot 402: Defend Yourself )
- Together with fellow imprisoned Guardians, Daemyn has arranged for battle training for the mares in Torrine. News of Bethel's murder has made it clear that there will be no peaceful resolution. It is important that the mares learn to defend themselves.
- Daemyn, Gabriel(NPC) and Lucas(NPC) are joined by a handful of mares; Keahi , Corrine , Antheia , Minerva, and Cassandra .
- Training goes rather well despite including a blind mare and a wagon bound one, but all is interrupted when Daemyn's familiar Calathea warns of an approaching patrol. Only, it turns out to be rescuers and among them is Kalakara .
- Torn between his duty and a desperate wish to be reunited with his family, Daemyn leaves Torrine with the small band of equines and joins them at the Temple of Time where he is reunited with his daughter and introduced to his son.

Chapter Five: (Plot 502: Castle Crashers )
- Along with fellow Guardians and Her loyalists, Daemyn takes the fight to the Flight, attacking the Palace in an effort to drive the winged vermin out. Joined by his partner Kalakara, Daemyn sees a new side of them, making him realize that they are much more capable than what he ever gave them credit for.
- The appearance of the Emperor Hawkeye brings new energy and determination to Daemyn. He throws himself into the fight aggressively, ignoring the order for prisoners and fighting to maim and quite possibly kill. The Flight already maimed his daughter, so this is payback time.
- And then in one fell swoop, everything seems lost when Emperor Hawkeye falls to the enemy. Although the Flight members are taken prisoners, Daemyn feels no sense of justice. Instead, he feels defeat because he failed his most basic of training; Keeping the Emperor safe.
- Daemyn is furious that the Flight members are handed over to Serora rather than executed.

Chapter Six: (Serora 606: Run! )
- As part of the military aid promised to Serora, Daemyn accompanies a small group through the desert, acting as protection. Although he gets to reunite with Farsight and Zenith and is happy to see them both alive and healthy, he finds it difficult to reignite the old friendship, worried in part that Zenith hates him for the death of the Emperor. Invasive thoughts he just cannot shake.
- Voices in the wind have Daemyn warn the group to stay together and keep traveling, but the curiosity of others lead to a split as some go to investigate.
- The voices turn out to be Aodhian warriors and Daemyn hoofs it with Zenith on his back and Lynx at his side. They make it safely to their destination. Farsight, however, never reappears.

Chapter Seven: (Talori 703: Wreckage )
- Daemyn and four others; Gyda, Stormcry, Cinnamon and Ilhuicaatl, are all summoned by the Wave Mother to the ruins of Kiephis. They meet on the shore, uncertain of what lies ahead, but knowing in their hearts that Cascade will keep them safe from the now toxic water.
- As they descend beneath the waves, the group is indeed unharmed but have a sense of time being short. They rush to the city, closer to the goal that is pulling at their souls, but before they can reach it, they come across a child.
- An octopus hippocampus has survived pinned under the rubble, barely alive when the group arrives. They are torn by the urgency of their task and the desire to help the child. Ultimately the group splits in half, and the child, Nadia, is taken to safety by Gyda and Cinnamon.
- Daemyn, Stormcry and Ilhuicaatl continue the search and with another striking vision from Cascade, they find a pearl with veins of gold. The pearl, relic or whatever it is, is safe and brought to the surface before any of the group can be damaged by the toxic and acidic waters.
