Description This is the TF2 Pyro Flamethrower I made for my Halloween costume. It's made with a real gasoline nozzle, ABS and copper piping, some air duct reducers, a water bottle/tank (for a lighter propane tank replica), a valve, plumbing straps, a blue LED tea light (for the pilot light), and a Red LED light pod (for "flame" lighting) that is wired up with a switch I made for the nozzle to turn it on and off.

Dude, thats awesome! i'm trying to build one as well. I've already got my gas nozzle, but am trying to figure out a better tank. See, i'm going to pressurize it to shoot dry ice fog past an orange light (illusionary fire) As the ice would make plastic too brittle, i may need to use a real tank (heavy as all get out) or use my other option of a battery powered hair dryer's heating element, to make it blow hot air....i am unsure what kind of battery to use to do that however, and where to store it on weapon...any ideas, as you already did an awesome one? I know i'm a little late, but hopefully someone sees this: i want to make one, and i believe i can get my hands on all the materials, EXCEPT where on earth did you get a plastic propane tank?!?! i just spent an hour of my life googling, and it yielded nothing please help me, i wanna get this done before halloween.

Sorry that this is a late response to you, but I made this last year at least a month or two before Halloween. The materials are mostly things you can find at a hardware store and the plastic propane tank is not actually a propane tank. I modified a 3 gallon water bottle by adding a non-functional valve to one side and used some PVC piping and some air duct piece I found at a hardware store. I then attached them all together with some epoxy and spray painted it an off-white to make it look like a propane tank. This in turn made the whole thing much lighter, but it is still heavy enough. I hope that helps and I might post some other process pics at a later time. Thanks for looking.

Can you please give us a tutorial (and the budget required) on how to make it? (also how to make one for team red or purple)

Really nice work, and clever use of a blue tea light, i didnt know you could get them in blue, im considering a backburner after my Quickfix is done

Thank you! Yeah, I wasn't sure that they came in blue either, but apparently they do. You can find them on ebay for cheap. I got mine shipped from china.
