Description
The last of the WIP cellphone pictures, I promise. My camera is at work, so I'm having to wait until Monday for close-ups.For all intents and purposes, this is the 'finished' product. I still need to go over a few areas with a spray-on sealant to keep the paint from scratching.
Materials:
Farm diesel handle (spray painted red)
Black tubing, found at a home supply store
Copper wiring (in red and black)
PVC pipe in varying sizes
Water bottle
A toy bucket
Flower pot
Tons of hot glue, black electrical tape and splicing tape
It took about two weeks to collect, paint, and assemble everything. My husband was a huge help, though we both lost some blood to this project. There are a couple parts that I know are incorrect - the water bottle is the most noticeable, but I'm ridiculously proud of this thing.
It's a little heavier than I would have liked (I estimate 5-6 lbs), but that's where the shoulder strap comes in. It's what my husband used to transport his PC to LAN parties during his nerdier years. XD (He wants me to point out that it's a Thermaltake brand, for anyone who wants to replicate it)
***EDIT
It never occurred to me that people would want to replicate this thing. If you have any in-depth questions about how this was made, where we found the parts, etc., feel free to contact me and I'll do my best to steer you in the right direction.

WHOA.
SERIOUSLY LOVE THIS.
Just wonderin', what did you use to make the black part that comes out the right side of the tank?

Thanks, glad you like it!
That's actually a toy bucket. We bored holes into it and bolted it onto the tank.
Unfortunately, the bucket itself broke after two conventions, so we went hunting and found a smallish plaster mixing bucket that was about the same size. It was thicker, which worked way better for the stress cons put on props. Hope that helps!

Also, I have another question. When you got the farm diesel handle was the mouth part (the long tube thing on the front) taken off or did you take it out yourself?

It's been awhile since we worked on it, but my husband said he thinks there were three screws attached to the part that connects the nozzle to the body. Once those screws were out he said he's pretty sure it came apart easily.

This...is beautiful... ;A; I want it so hard. Do you mind if I try to make one myself by using yours as a reference?

Aww, thanks!
I don't mind at all if you use this as a reference. Give me a shout if you have any specific questions, and I'll do my best to point you in the right direction. ^_^

Real gas pump handle, yes. Real propane tank, no. D: I didn't want to risk being hassled by convention staff about whether or not I could tote it around.

Nice Made a pyro costume myself, trying to make a heavy costume now, man making sasha just eats up time like the heavy dose sandvitches. Great work

Thanks!
For awhile he was tossing around the idea of making a mini-Sasha... we decided it would just take too much time.

Pyros my current favorite class, so I approve of this alot. Also I plan to make a pyro costume soon-ish So it's good to see a good real world model.
