Aha, I'd read it for reading's sake.
I'm a speed reader usually. Even if I can't get into a book, I'll march through. I think my record was 8 novels in 3 weeks. Haven't really read since, and that's a year ago now. 0.0

I could, but the thing is, I wanted to make the outfit decent. It annoyed me I can't like, put more detail to the coat. :/

When I want to I can read a book in a short period of time, but that's not because I'm a speed reader. It's because I never put the book down. LOL.
I used to read for fun a lot more than I do now, though.
Think of it as a first try. Then you could practice sewing and then make an ever better, more detailed one in a year or so. xD

By speed reader, I just mean I can read relatively quickly, even with putting the book down and crap.

I just don't find the need. I just happen to read at a slightly faster rate than normal humans.
...Unless I'm REALLY out of it. Then I tend to read a line over and over every now and again going, 'guh?'

Oh, I do that. I read something, don't pay attention, read it again, and again, and eventually to keep my mind from wandering I read it and take it is WORD. BY. WORD.
"Okayokay... 'SEE'. Alright. 'SPOT.' Yeah, that's the dog. I got this. 'RUN.' OH! The dog is running!"

Oh god, yes. That is what I do. I just, don't udnerstand some sentences. And it'll be something really simple, and I'll get it a few reads of it later, and be like, 'wth?! What was there to not understand?! dumbass.'

Sometimes I'll not pay attention for an entire paragraph and in the next paragraph the author will mention something or someone that was introduced in the paragraph that I blanked on and I'd like "Wth? Who the heck is that person? xD"

Seriously, as much as I'd like nice things to happen, I'm the craphead in fandom who writes fics to prove a point and point an example to real characterization. I mean, my Bones fic was Booth going to Bones house and crap, and most people in my stories situation would have had them banging each others brains in.
Mine wasn't. And I got congratulated through that. Not many reviews, but a few people bothered to actually email me. :L

I hate it when I go to read a fic and the characters go against their origional writing.
Here's an example:
Christine voluntarily meets up with Erik and theydoit. She dumps Raoul and lives happily ever after with the Phantom of the Opera.
No.
That never would've happened.
I don't care how many people hate Raoul, and I love Erik to death... but I cannot and will not believe that Christine would have chosen Erik over Raoul. And even if she did, they're both mentally unstable. It never would've worked out. LOL.
I don't care if people joke around about Booth and Bones banging each other's brains out, but as far as I'm concerned, if it hasn't happened yet, people shouldn't get ahead of the story and write about it.
...and that is my fanfiction rant for today. :3
