I'm confused by the whole "ten year" thing... I mean... wouldn't he be closer to nine?... unless he had just turned 10... but then there would be other technicalities that would have to come in to the mix... like the time of conception and birth and and what time of the year it was then... and... and.... am I over thinking this????!!!! ........ *sigh* -______- my brain hurts......

have you ever read the susan kay novel? because he is in a freak show in that (well kinda like one, he gets shown off For money) but if you are saying that its weird that he would create a freak show himself and then star in it, then yes that is one of the dumbest thing ever.

Oh, thank you, someone else who agrees with me! <3 Really, I thought Ben Lewis was kind of a horrible Phantom. He was so stiff and awkward sounding, and I swear I couldn't take him seriously. Every time he said or sang something I either cracked up or cringed. xD

He was just plain awful most of the time. Maybe I would have liked him better if he was in the original Phantom show, but a combination of the awkwardness and the awful play just killed it. -sigh- ALW, what the heck have you done?

I'm actually not too bothered by the play, though. xD I mean, it's pretty much based off some silly fanfic someone wrote, so thinking of it that way makes it so that I'm kind of neutral towards it. c: I actually like the songs, though. Even though I don't know what a song like Beauty Underneath is doing in anything associated with PotO...
Though if it had been Ramin Karimloo and Sierra Boggess in the roles of Erik and Christine on the DVD movie, I seriously would've overlooked all the flaws of the play QoQ Ramin isn't awkward at all, and they both have beautiful voices and great acting skills and CHEMISTRYYY and... ah I love them so much <333

Yeah. If the actors had been better, especially at Christine's death, it would have been better. And heck if they're going to make a fanfic into a play, at least make it one of Lucifer Rosemaunt's fics XD The whole ten-year-skip kind of made me confused. Why in the world would Erik choose to run a carnival? Srsly.

yeah it sure is! I've seen bits of a bootleg *cough* and it's just... eh... the only redeemable part of it is Ramin on the soundtrack and the song Till I Hear you Sing... that's about it. :I

basically.... *SPOILERS*
Meg is now a vaudeville attention-deprived stuck-up back-stabbing wench so she shoots Christine "by accident" but she truly was in a jealous outrage on the verge of insanity over the fact that the Phantom has never payed attention to her (meg). And the Phantom, right when he had the chance to calm down Meg (but no seriously, how can the Phantom CALM SOMEONE DOWN when he himself is supposed to be the psycho unwilling to calm down? anyway...) right when he has her calming down he decides to be a douche and says "beauty often goes unseen (referring to Meg and himself)... we can't all be like Christine" so naturally Meg shoots Christine.
End of story pretty much.

O_O...I would not expect anything like that from little Meg or Erik, I prefer the fact that Raoul and Christine took
the train from "the northern railway station of the world."
Thank you for clearing that up, I knew I'd never be able to bring myself to watch LND (myself strictly being a fan of the original Phantom of the Opera story). I presume LND is a sequel that most Phantom Phans wish never happend.

I really do hate LND. Phantom IS the best show ever (that and Les Mis) but LND is just trying to ride its coat tails. I know it's "phantomy" in a sense but I seriously consider it more of a parody and a guilty pleasure. In NO way does it match Phantom in classicality, originality, profoundness, and moral integrity.

in my story the person owns the opera house but Erik runs it, and when it burned down because the chandelier caught the place on fire, erik owed him a lot of money for it and Erik had every intention to pay him back, but when he said he would give it all to his kid, Nadir thought he wouldn't get his cut and went greedy
