I decided to re-draw a mana beast picture that i so dearly loved. And wanted to see how my style has changed/improved. I like how this came out, but the newer beasty is still far from finished. Got more work i wanted to do on him. I'll update it as it gets finished.What do you think of my style and how its changed? Critique?

I love the differences between the two. The new wings capture a more... real feel to the creature than the oversized feathering.
The changes in facial features is, personally, a major plus as far as differences go. They feel more real and less toonish than the more wyvern like face of the before side. The eyes are more noticeable and the hair looks like hair instead of an outcropping of weeds [no offense, just comparison and first impressions!] The ears look a LOT better as they look like part of the creature vs a cybernetic implant deally.
The changes in limb anatomy are much more seamless and look more appropriate. The first piece's forelimbs seem...clipped on, while the new piece looks natural.

Finally someone who appreciates and NOTICES the changes I made in the anatomy and style.
Everyone liked the older one so much, it's like they didn't even notice the improvement i've made on the wings and anatomy in the new one. And I also have been working really hard to dragon the eyes more lively and with more character. In ALL my dragons, and not just this one.
It really makes me happy to see someone has noticed the finer details, and the improvements. I know my new dragon still deserves a lot of fine details like the older one has, but as i stated before, the new one is not entirely finished.

I like the wings on the previous one better. o.O

They were bothering me because the wings on the previous one were not accurate. They were too small, the feathers all wrong, and the shape and muscles all wrong. I wished to design new working wings. Because i have been studying wings for awhile now, and have learned the structures and feather patterns.

both are great!
but I prefer the first one with combination of the second one!
I mean the detail and the face of the left one is better (in my idea) and the generall pose of the right one the better!

Well the right one is not finished. And will have all the detail of the second one when it is done. And while the faces are quite different. I was trying a more "mana beast" like head in the second one. The first was all wrong for the type of dragon it was.
I wanted to demonstrate with this the difference in my dragon style. And how much i've improved with the muscle structure, and the basic structure of the dragon and its wings in general. I apologize for the details not being added to the new one. i was running out of time with a scanner, and must wait awhile to be around one again.

yeah my scanner is 50 miles away. thats my problem. The only time i can scan my drawings is when i visit my friend's house, or she comes into town to pick up my drawings.

they both look very nice, it just seems that over time your style have changed a bit, but i like them both ... the first picture actually looks more detailed

Well the second picture is not finished, as i stated in my comments. But i do not know the next time i will have a chance to get it scanned so i had it scanned now. Just wanted to display my changes in art. And if you look closely, the bone structure and muscle structure on the first dragon is painfully bad. Its REALLY bad actually. The arms and joints in the back legs are all very wrong. Also if you knew the type of dragon i was drawing, the face on the first dragon is not shaped right. The wings on the first dragon are WAY too small and the feathers aren't even drawn anywhere close to correct. It just looks really terrible. And every time i look at it i cringe and all the anatomy failures. So that is what i wanted to fix.

oh no offense taken at all. I just wanted to stress that while both styles are nice. The important thing i was trying to demonstrate with the Meme was the changes in how i draw the dragons. How i've improved in anatomy, and structure. especially the wings.
