Description
A lot of people have asked me how I did my bow for my Rin cosplay so I made another tutorial. ^_^ I used a new font, which hopefully isn't too hard to read. Hope everyone likes it!Also, I do have a tutorial for Vocaloid headsets here -> [link]
EDIT: Holy hell, TYPOS!! D: Re-uploaded to fix all the mis-types.

yay!! thank you for having this!!! ^3^ im actually doing a pikachu cosplay, but thought it might be cute to do, instead of normal ears, make a bow similar to rins! :3 would you suggest me sewing on the black tips or get a fabric marker and color it on?Β

That sounds like a really cute idea! I would definitely suggest sewing black fabric on since fabric markers and paint run the risk of ending up splotchy.

Hello there, thanks for the great tutorial! Just asking, do you think this is possible without the interfacing? I ran out and don't have any time to get more. I finished the cosplay due, but I forgot the bow...

I think it should be okay as long as the fabric itself is a little stiff. If you have fabric starch to spray on it or a thin wire to place inside of the bow, that would also work.

Do you think the bow is achievable with any type of fabric? (I don't know anything when it comes to these things ;A

It should be! You might just need a heavier interfacing if you use a heavier material. ^^

Sorry, I'm a little confused. In step 5 it says to iron on the interfacing, but in step 6 its says to pin the interfacing to the bow? Does this mean you need two pieces of interfacing? Thanks in advance! Β

SailorAnime In reply to shadowlover5261 [2014-06-29 18:50:16 +0000 UTC]
Sorry, it took me so long to respond, I was on the mobile and needed to wait until I was on my computer to actually see everything. The interfacing IS ironed on in step 5. The "Interfacing-Cotton-Cotton" thing, which I'm assuming is what you're talking about, just was another way for me to illustrate that the interfaced side of the cotton is facing outward when you pin it. Does that make more sense?

I don't have interfacing. Should I add another layer of white or can I use firm stabilizer?
π: 0 β©: 1
SailorAnime In reply to nicemattersfirst [2012-12-30 04:19:28 +0000 UTC]
A firm stabilizer would be better than just another layer. The lightweight cotton would be too flimsy to provide real support.
