Description
A lot of people have asked me how I did my bow for my Rin cosplay so I made another tutorial. ^_^ I used a new font, which hopefully isn't too hard to read. Hope everyone likes it!Also, I do have a tutorial for Vocaloid headsets here -> [link]
EDIT: Holy hell, TYPOS!! D: Re-uploaded to fix all the mis-types.

Oh gosh thank you for this easy-to-follow tutorial! Do you know how to make the bow on her blouse too (can you make a tut?)? Thanks!

I made my blouse bow the same way I made the hair one, just out of yellow fabric and with a strip of biased tape so that I could wrap it under the sailor collar.

Oh about the bow, do i really need to use fusible interfacing? I yes, i can find one, is there an alternative for it? Thank you so very much!

Fusible interfacing is the best option since interfacing is what makes it stand up straight, but sew-in interfacing would work as well.

im sorry for asking this noob question but, should i iron the interfacing on one of the cottons? would that make it stick on the cotton? Thanks!

SailorAnime In reply to tennyc [2012-08-05 15:57:15 +0000 UTC]
Hey, it's all good. Questions are how we learn. Yes. Fusible interfacing get ironed (glue side down) to the cotton. The fusible side is usually covered in bumps, which are actually heat-activated glue that makes it stick to the fabric once the iron is on it.

Wait, so step 5....you...have the interfacing...a layer of cotton on top of it...and the other layer of cotton on top of it???

SailorAnime In reply to Dreams2much [2012-03-02 06:01:07 +0000 UTC]
Pretty much. That way when you you sew it together and flip it inside out, the interfacing will be on the inside.

how do I iron on the interfacing do I put it on top or in between the two pieces of cotton fabric?
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
SailorAnime In reply to Cassierolee [2012-01-09 07:09:30 +0000 UTC]
It will end up in between the two pieces, but you'll iron it on before you sew the two pieces together. It'll be ironed on to the back side of one of your pieces.

I'm working on this right now, thanks for the tips! I would've never thought of sewing the parts together(step 15), and here I was wondering how the heck I should make them stand up. Awesome and helpful C:

As an another way, if you have a cloth headband for your VOCALOID headphones, would it be better to sew the bow onto the headband?
