Description
I was using the idea of the Maneki Neko ("Beckoning Cat") with this picture of Simba. Everytime I go to a Chinese or Japanese restaurant, I see one and I've wanted one for the longest time! I finally received a key chain and a larger version of Maneki Neko that moves its paw back and forth. I loved how it looks and it's easily recognizable.

I did a little research and I found that the most common belief is that the left paw raised brings in customers and the right paw raised is for wealth and good luck. I guess I should have raised his right paw, since I'm not a store owner. (drew the sketch before I did the research) The red collar, bell, and bib were the most popular decorations around the cat's neck. I tried to draw the gold coin called a 'koban' to the right with Simba's name written in Katakana. If someone knows that Simba's name is written differently in Japanese, please let me know so that I can change it.
