I like the wings and their span in your pic. I can also see why we can barely see any details, but to draw a dark-coloured character is difficult, even more with a night background. But it looks very nice.

Well, you still have much more experience than me about drawings, hehehe, you can see I am much better at 3d models.
I plan to eventually get a tablet myself, Paint.Net seems to be a very good program, and I am sure you'll be able to find some tutorials and help here on DA.
