(Jah-sper) An opaque reddish-brown variety of chalcedony.
1 year
Female
American Shorthair
Earthclan
Apprentice
Physical information
Jasper is a brown and beige tuxedo molly with a white flash on her chest and blue eyes. She has a streak of red dye smudged crudely across her face. She has very thin fur and unusually large, attentive and expressive ears. She is a relatively normal, healthy cat... besides the obvious two, hairless limbs that protrude from her sides. The two extra limbs are shorter and undernourished, but have working claws and Jasper can sort of move the wrists and fingers, but otherwise they dangle at her sides uselessly.
- Jasper has a low-pitched, raspy, quiet voice and doesn't really need to raise her voice very much, but when she does, it is booming and loud.
- Jasper's pelt carries the common scent of must and dirt that most Earthclan cats carry, but unlike her clanmates, Jasper has a unique scent of dye from her markings.
- Jasper is unsure of her sexuality. She doesn't think much of it right now, but might go on to prefer other she-cats later. For now however, she prefers to focus on her training.
Personality
Clever
Jasper has always been clever, even as a kit. She is able to look at a problem, take a step back, and try and evaluate several outcomes. She often tries to suggest what is best for everyone, but because of her shyness, her opinion is often overlooked, even if it is a good one. She often jokes that she not only has extra limbs, but an extra brain too.
Hardworking
Jasper's father was often revered as an excellent warrior who took pride in his work. Jasper definetly inherited this trait from her father and takes pride working. She is eager to prove to others that she can keep up just as well as the next cat. She often works herself to exsaustion, but this doesn't bother her.
Observant
As a kit, Jasper did not have many friends. She spent most of the time watching other kits play, and watching her clanmates interact with eachother. The time she spent watching others taught her how to read others. She understands what to say, how to say, and when to say what she needs. She can read other cats like a book, but doesn't often get a chance to.
Stickler
The rules of the clans has always been at the center of Jasper's morals and she bases her ethics on rules and laws. She is far less likely to break any rules, even if it is for the good of the clan. Without the clan laws, there would be anarchy.
Shy
As a kit, Jasper was often teased or stared at because of her extra limbs. The staring and whispers about her has made her shy and less likely to speak up. She enjoys making friends and meeting new people, but her fear of what others think of her overpowers her desire to make friends
Gullible
Jasper puts too much trust in others. She is trusts her clanmates and others far too much, and this can often lead her to believe the wildest of lies. This is because Jasper's belief that every cat does what they do because they think it is good. While it might make sense, it can often get her in difficult situations.
Poor self image
Jasper has always tried to stay optimistic, but when it comes to her self-image, she is disgusted. She hates her extra arms and thinks her fur colour is ugly. She often compares herself to her gorgeous mother, and will often make herself the butt of the joke in an attempt to make friends.
Jealous
Many of her clanmates are skilled benders and strong warriors, while Jasper is ugly and deformed. This can make her very jealous and she often comments on others how she wishes she looked like them, or acted like them. She can get especially jealous when others have something beautiful or something she wants.
Passive
Jasper is very weak-willed and easy to command. This trait goes hand-in-hand with her shyness, gulliblness, and her poor self image. In her clan, she is seen as respectful and very agreeable, but her passiveness is deeply rooted in her low self-esteem.
Fear of being buried alive
Jasper has never actually seen a cat die of a cave-in, but the very idea of being buried alive scares her stiff. She is terrified that one day she might be stuck in a cave-in. Her father died in a cave-in, which might have something to do with her fear.
Stats and Skills
Jasper was born a non-bender, however she uses her extra limbs to help her in battle and in the tunnels. The shoulders on her extra limbs are weak and cannot move, but the wrists and claws are able to move. Her extra limbs hang behind her or balance her when she is crouched over digging. They also help by distracting an enemy warrior and with the claws, she is able to grab onto others and claw at them.

History
Before birth:Jasper's mother was a gorgeous brown tabby molly named Holly. Holly was a very vain she-cat with a tendency to dye her fur. She was an earthbender, however she never bothered to use her bending and prefered to use her bending to find precious minerals and create dyes for her fur. She would decorate her striped body with different colours and would appear to shimmer with colours when she stood in the hot sun. She probably went into the mines 4 or 5 times in her whole life. She was often asked for help to dye other cats furs and Holly would outright reject them without hesitation. This behavior led her to be very disliked by her clanmates, and many avoided her altogether- all except one. Jasper was a black and white tuxedo tom who was a strong and respected warrior. He wasn't the greatest warrior, but he wasn't the worst either- if anything, Jasper was more respected for his patience and friendlyness. His natural friendlyness led him to meet Holly and he was instantly smitten with her. He often gave her gifts of gems and dyes, but she rejected all of his gifts. She had no patience for Jasper and was not afraid to tell him how she felt. When she told him to leave her alone, Jasper respected her wish and left her alone, but still had strong feelings for it. Eventually, Holly began to talk to him again and for once, Holly made a friend. Jasper was estatic to become friends with Holly and after almost a year, the two became inseperable, to everyone's surprise. No one in Earthclan had any idea that Holly would be able to love someone other then herself, but alas, she did. And many were more surprised that Jasper could fall in love with such a vain, cruel she-cat, but he learned to look past her outward appearance.
Holly and Jasper had been mates for almost 4 years when Holly finally announced she would be carrying Jasper's kits. Both Jasper and Holly did not have any brothers or sisters, so they expected the litter to be a small one, but Holly promised they would take good care of them. This was a bit of a surprise, especially because Holly always claimed she would cut off her own tail before she had kits. Holly had been in the nursery for only a few months when word reached the camp of a cave-in. Jasper had been on a patrol with a few warriors in the mines when the roof above caved in and water rushed in, drowning the whole patrol. Holly was distraught at the death of Jasper and swore to name one of their kits after him. For months after Jasper's death, Holly lost passion and the colours and dyes in her fur faded. Holly's kitting was long, painful, and ended in her death, a stillborn tom, and a mutant kit. Holly's kit was given to another queen to suckle, despite the kit's grotesque appearance.
Kittenhood: Tansy, the healer who helped Holly give birth, named the small kitten Jasper, fulfilling Holly’s dying wish. Jasper was small and weak at her birth, so Tansy gave her to Haze, a queen whose kits had not survived birth. Jasper’s first hours in the world were rough and there were several occasions where Jasper stopped breathing and Tansy and Haze had to lick life into the kitten. After the first night, Jasper seemed to be stable and Tansy gave the responsibility of raising Jasper to Haze. Despite her differences, Haze loved Jasper like the kits she never had. Shadow, Haze’s mate and the father of her deceased litter, was not pleased to see Haze raising Holly and Jasper’s kit. Shadow refused to talk to Haze and decided he could no longer be her mate if she was going to raise someone else’s kit. Out of anger and jealousy, he spread rumours that because of Jasper’s death, Holly was so distraught that it turned her womb sour and that Jasper’s death and their kit’s deformity was the result of the spirit world punishing Holly for her vanity and cruelty in life. Haze did everything she could to stop the rumors and was desperate to show Earthclan that Jasper was a normal kit. Haze was a good mother to Jasper, and made sure Jasper knew she was loved. Haze encouraged all of the nursery kits to play games together and made sure that Jasper was never left out. Jasper was lucky to grow up in the nursery not knowing about the harsh rumors that Shadow spread. Eventually, the clan noticed how gentle and sweet Jasper was with everyone, and the rumors slowed to a stop, to Shadow’s dismay. When Jasper was apprenticed, the whole clan supported her, cheering her name proudly. Shadow, however, was not pleased.
Apprenticeship:Jasper’s first day as an apprentice went about as normal as could be. (MENTOR) toured her through the territory, showing her as much of Earthclan as they could. Jasper was surprisingly able to keep up despite her extra limbs slowing her down. By the end of the tour however, Jasper had significantly slowed down and seemed to be more out of breathe then the other apprentices. Shadow sneered and sent a few offensive quips Jasper’s way, which surprised her. Haze had shielded her from Shadow for so long, Jasper had never noticed his hostility towards her and was shocked to learn from another apprentice that Shadow hated her and spread rumors about her. In an effort to try and make peace, Jasper brought Shadow a plump mole after a hunting patrol. Shadow flung more insults at Jasper, commenting that she will never be a real Earthclan warrior and stalked off, kicking her peace-offering as he left. From that moment on, Jasper felt nothing but hate towards the cruel tomcat. It was during the first few weeks of apprenticeship that Haze told Jasper about Holly’s obsession with decorating herself with dyes. Jasper begged Haze to teach her how to make Holly’s favourite colour, orange. After a bit of sucking up, Haze finally gave in, showing Jasper which berries and stones to collect and how to mix the dye with their paws. At first, Jasper dyed her tail and paws with the orange dye, however, during training Jasper would often wipe her face with her dyed paws and tail. Eventually she decided to simply keep the dye to her face (after bringing back too much prey covered in the orange dye). She collected the rocks and berries and creates the dye with Haze every so often, and refreshes her dye every morning before leaving the apprentices den.

Roleplay Example
Jasper padded through the camp slowly, her weak, naked legs dangling at her sides as she paced the camp impatiently. She had been promised a proper training session and she was eager to leave camp for the first time. "Hello?!" She called out curiously, and peeked towards the warriors den. She sat down and gave her second shoulders a lick while she dug her claws into the dirt. She loved the feeling of dirt in her white claws and twitched her whiskers happily.
