Whoo! It's finally done! An entry for another one of *Emma-luvs-Bee 's contests, and hopefully she finalizes this one! >8DSo the contest was to draw her Pokésona with your own. Here we have my Pokésona Volta on the left, and her Wynter on the right!
I just thought it was awesome how Wynter was ... wintery, and Volta is electric! So they made the perfect match for this picture! ^_^
My clouds are getting better I think, and the blizzard turned out pretty good! ...but I still think I need to practice my lightning!

Thanks! Things might've just worked this time. My method for clouds this time involved about 8 different tones plus a gradient shader, which is more detail than I've ever used for clouds. I guess the quality of your clouds really depends on what you put into it! xD

Lightning is not yellow, for one.
Lightning isn't that jagged, for two.
Lightning usually goes to the ground, for three (I know there's no visible ground, so take it to the bottom of the picture).
Lightning is much brighter, for four.

Lightning can be a multitude of colors. Yellow is one of them.

If there is no ground nearby, then lightning is attracted to the highest object near it, in this case being Volta. (I know it's hard to tell, but bear with me!
I tried to see how bright I could get it without making it white, but browsing at recent tutorials (which all put my method to shame xD), they all start out white with a glow fading out into yellow or blue and such.

I've never seen yellow lightning... it always looks white to me (though in some photos seems to be a bit purple).
Makes sense that it'd be hitting Volta. :0

Is this from personal experience, or browsing photos (the part where you said you've never "seen" it yellow)? ;D Because as far as I recall, lightning vanishes from view too fast to make any significant observations (except for afterimages, but those are faint...).
Maybe it will strike her, and this picture was taken right before the event! xD Even then, Volta has been hit by lightning enough times to shrug it off as a minor shock. (Comparable to us getting shocked by static, I suppose).
She is supposed to be those colors. It took her long enough, but eventually she made a reference ! :]
