YOUΒ΄RE WELCOME.
...YEAH, IT LOOKS LIKE A MANY-HOURS-TAKING THING.
DONΒ΄T YOU HAVE ANY TRICK HOW TO DO IT? I WOULD APPRECIATE IT.

First of all, sorry for the super late reply. I should come here more often.
It takes so long because for me to achieve this effect, I need to completely cover the paper's fibers. In order to do this I need to use 0,3 millimeter mechanical pencils to slowly layer the graphite until the values are right (of course the type of paper has an important role in this). However, I discovered something recently that could speed up the process: blending sponges that are used for applying cosmetics. They seem to spread the graphite quite well with a good amount of control, which allows me to quickly lay down the mid tone for an area, then go in with pencils and erasers for the details. The blending sponge is very soft, so it shouldn't compress the fibers at all. I still have very limited experience with this, but it seems like a promising tool so far. Hope this helps!

Oh, thatΒ΄s really interesting.
Tha idea with the sponges is very original and inspirational... thank you very much for the advice.
