Yes I consider this my first oil painting, I did one sort of a practice/study before this, it was really embarrassing working with a reference photo and using a very limited palette made this much easier for me Thank you for the kind words, the favs, and the watch!

I guess that beginnings with oils are always difficult xD That's why I prefer acrylics. There are easier

yeah, I'm still a bit "intimidated" by oils, I'm not even close to being comfortable painting with them... but then, I've only used acrylics once and it was a complete disaster I probably should give it another try

Really? I thought that there are easier for everyone. They dry faster so it's easy to fix mistakes and stuff And they base on water. So not turpentine, which is big plus for me

They dry too fast for my liking I work really slow. I'm not a fan of turpentine either but it's a necessary evil and no problem, all comments and discussions are very welcome!

I'm just glad someone here recognized it. I have this idea of doing a painting based on each song on Outre', they all produce such vivid mental images for me. I'm gonna be studying printmaking for the next three years though, so maybe in 2015 then
