Do you have video tutorials? I'm desperately in need of some mentoring on this particular method.

how many layer has this picture?
and is it possible to draw something like this without a graphic tablet?

To answer your tablet question: I don't think you can do these kind of pictures with something like a mouse ( If that's what you mean by non-tablet sources ) because tablets have pen pressure sensitivity ( which basically gives you more fluent and realistic-looking brush strokes ). Although I guess it could be possible if you install some kind of driver that allows your mouse to have pressure sensitivity. I'm not a professional, but I hope it helped.

What sorcery is this? When I attempt to create even simple things I inevitably end up with something that resembles a very colorful hairball. Hopefully your tutorials will help me transform my work.

That's really cool, I sadly don't have the patience to sit and draw, I'm too much of a I want to be active but end up just sitting in front of my computer and reading or playing games all day kinda person. I was wondering about the finished product from this tutorial and whether or not you would be posting it on here?

Seeing this process, it makes me never want to give up. I'm sure you hear how amazing and talented you are all the time, but really, I really hope you know how much you're inspiring people to keep believing in their works of art. This is truly incredible.

It's not about talent, more about patience and discipline.
I would probably reach till middle row 2nd pic, and there I would stop.
Would lose inspiration or would just be unable to go further.

Yeah I had a teacher who talked about how things like this take patience. I'm with you I'd be the same way xD.
