Finished this a few weeks ago but I always upload late on dA :'D

Somehow I feel very relaxed working with such colors ´3` Anything combining blue, black and yellow is just perfect Y-Y <3 Plus mermen are just so nice to draw ´7`9

You might have seen Castien in an illustration I uploaded a couple weeks ago! (edit of sakon in the future: I realized I did not upload it yet OMG LMAO) This time, he is in his mer form c: //it might have a specific name actually but I apologize for not being 100% well versed in the Lapifora lore _(:3_)TL
When Castien was younger, he couldn't transform into a human and had problems controlling his form ´^` Since he was mostly seen in his mer form, the villagers hater him and believed him to be ominous. He possessed great power though, so he always managed to defend himself and overcome his difficulties in the end.

So from the above backstory, I kinda wanted to draw him being injured but not really caring? I don't know if it translated well into the picture °^° Another idea was "a mermaid stranded on land" for the pose, to also symbolize his lacking ability to transform into a human in his younger years /0/
Regardless, I had a lot of fun!! Yuki's designs are great to draw!! ´7`9
