I was taught right from wrongBy a murderer
I was taught truth from lies
By a magician
I was taught who my friends were
By my enemy
I was taught to be honest
By a professional liar
I was taught to always speak my mind
By being told to keep quiet
I was taught to be kind
By someone that beat me down
I was taught to smile
By someone who could never wipe a scowl of their face
I was taught to love
By being abused
I was taught to live
By someone who was already dead
I was taught to perform
By someone with stage fright
I was taught to be excellent
By someone that failed in everything
I was taught to rely on only my self
By being surrounded with people
I was taught to be perfect
By those that wanted to see me fail
I was taught to be loyal
By everyone that ever walked out of my life
I was taught to make people happy
By everyone who ever made me miserable
I was taught to control my temper
By those with explosive tempers
I was taught to take care of myself
By those who tried to kill me
I was taught what matters to me
By those that took it all away
I was taught how to be a girly girl
By a bunch of boys
I was taught how bad modern medicine can be
By a drug addict
I was taught who deserved my heart
By having my rib cage shattered
I was taught to stand center stage
By having my shoulders disjointed
I was taught not everyone is as nice as they seem
By having my wrist taken out
I was taught how far people are willing to go
By seeing him dying
This may not makes sense to everyone
But to those it does
They know, just like me
Betrayal is the best teacher
And, what doesn't kill you defines you

I love ouran haha love Tamaki!! He made me laugh so hard...I just recently watched all of fruits basket (netflix was the death of my social life) I've seen bits and pieces of soul eater my friend watches it but watches it when im not there and then verbally catches me up which is no where near the same as watching

Yeah I LOVE ouaran too haha!! and kaichou wa maid sama kind of reminds me of it for some reason even thow the plots are not alike, they are just both really cute but kind of perverted comedies with love in it haha. and soul eater is good in the begining but it get WAY better closer to the end, it like blew my mind like... unexpectedness!! lolz

I admire you that you were able to have those people. Sometimes we get hurt so bad that we shut it all out and turn away those wonderful people in fear of being hurt again. You never gave up. Good going trooper.

This is a fantastic piece! I don't think I know anyone who can't relate to this in one form or another, even without experiencing the problems faced in this poem. It's just like the thousands of quotes say "pain makes you stronger", and that's probably why it is so necessary to life.

It is...but even more than making you stronger you have to learn what you don't want to be...and then don't treat people the way you were...that won't solve anything...That was the point of this...I learning everything i didnt want to be then tried to apply the exact opposite of what i was taught
