20. Touka Kirishima (Tokyo Ghoul)

TBH, I've seen her get far more hate than Kaneki and it's just sad. The reasons why are because she's apparently too rude and unkind but somehow Shu Tsukiyama is cool even though he's done worse? Also, people tend to hate her because she gets in the way of their precious yaoi and it's fucking annoying!
The main reason I like her is because I feel as if she's a realistic character. She has her insecurities and doesn't consider herself beautiful at all. Not only that, but she has a shitty brother she has to put up with. I haven't seen the Re anime or read the manga for Re but I really liked her character more in the manga than in the anime. The anime was a dumb Pierrot anime. Fuck it. I do believe Kaneki gets just as much hate unfortunately for being too whiny but seriously? Poor guy has been through too much.

19. 2B (NieR Automata)

Yes, I've seen people hate 2B and treat her as nothing more than a generic fanservice character. The feminazis and SJW's especially hate her. This one user on DA actually put her on his "10 characters I wanna beat up" list alongside Cloud Strife from Final Fantasy 7.
I don't just like 2B in terms of fanservice, but I also believe she played an important role in the story. Route A and B let us get attached to her character so when she dies in route C, it was very tragic. I also liked her relationship with 9S a lot! <3

18. Shoto Todoroki (Boku no Hero Academia)

Let's be real here, but he's the main reason I watch (or did, it's been a while since I have) Boku no Hero Academia. I couldn't help but feel sorry for the kid. His dad is a complete asshole and his mom isn't any better even though she did change. She's the one who went crazy and poured a hot liquid on her son's face, permanently scarring him. In her defense though, I believe her husband was worse and she was going mentally crazy due to how he treated her. Due to this, he was pretty cold, especially towards Deku, but he changed for the better in the Tournament Arc. Apparently people hate him because he's "annoying" and "whiny for no reason." This one anime YouTuber said he was as annoying as Sakura from Naruto. There are also hate memes and hate art of this character. I've also seen people on Twitter say he was ugly and his fans are shitty people who only like him for no reason. The biggest thing that gets under my skin is when people say he's just a dumb Zuko clone. Yes, Horikoshi was inspired by Avatar the Last Airbender (Zuko especially) to write this character, but despite their similarities they have a lot of differences and all the such.

17. Misa Amane (Death Note)

People don't really hate Misa anymore just as much as they did 10 years ago when the anime was still young. A lot of the alt girls born 2002 onwards seem to like her nowadays and make Tik Toks and edits of her, but back in the late 2000's and early 2010's, people hated her for getting in the way of their precious yaoi and a lot of YouTubers did (and a lot still do) hate her because she's considered "annoying" by them. There's a lot of hate art and hate articles of this character and Misa still has a decent hatedom. I couldn't help but feel sorry for her. Sure, she was a simp for Light Yagami, but in her defense he was the man who killed the man who killed her parents. And what did she get in return? An asshole who used her and cheated on her. I can't help but feel really bad for her in that way. To make things worse, there are women like her who have to go through this shit.

16. Luna Lovegood and Hermione Granger (Harry Potter)
Yes, despite JK Rowling's transphobia and closeted homophobia, I still love Harry Potter. It was a HUGE part of my childhood and the story still sticks with me after all of these years. I'm just not really as big as a fan as I used to be and should probably get back into it without supporting Rowling. But even SHE doesn't reread her books, IMHO.

I really love these two characters, Luna and Hermione, but there's a few fans who don't like these girls. Hermione mainly gets hated for being too bossy and a "Mary Sue" and Luna is hated for being a "weird Mary Sue." I'm like, why is Hermione bossy and you call her a Sue? She has a poor blood status and gets picked on for having muggle parents. As for Luna, she's autism coded (in my eyes) due to her quirky nature, her special interests, and how hard she is making friends. My Dad apparently hates her because she's dumb and the actress who plays her is a "slut." WTF?! She's almost 30 so she can dress how she wants and star in what movies she wants to.

15. Ciel Phantomhive (Black Butler)
I'm not gonna mention much, but this one Alois fanbrat on this website called him an asshole who is cruel and abusive towards his servants and he's really wicked and cruel. To make things worse, she put him in all her hate memes and she has made some hate memes of her own towards him. Yet somehow, Alois, a boy who raped his maid and touched her vag and tits, poked her eye out, and slapped his butler across the face leaving a bad scratch mark across his face is "nice?" Ciel on the other hand, is actually patient with his servants and I believe he actually cares about them. Yes, he's a bit of an ass, especially in Book of Circus, but in his defense, those children he killed would've been put in a mental hospital if he didn't kill them.

14. Elizabeth Midford (Black Butler)
People mainly hate her because she gets in the way of SebaCiel (eww) and other boy x boy pairings. She also is apparently hated for being cheery yet somehow Finnian, who has the same personality as her, is loved by the fanbase. Ciel has been through a lot of shit and she generally cares for him. And not only that, but he actually cares for her as well (I believe he does at least). People also have made hate art of her getting killed by certain characters and it's just annoying as fuck. :/ It's okay to hate a character but drawing hate art is wrong. Lizzie is a sweet girl and she's not completely weak and useless. She was apparently able to save Ciel's ass in the movie and manga. The only reason she acts like that is because she was told to act like that to protect Ciel.

13. Lucy/Nyu (Elfen Lied)
Not that many people hate her but people who hate her say she's too edgy for no reason. I'm like, what the fuck? After being treated like shit by humans numerous times (especially those asshole kids who killed her puppy) she has EVERY reason to hate them. The main reason Kouta forgives her is because he was her first friend. The first person who didn't mind her horns or the fact that she was a killer species.

12. Victorique De Blois (Gosick)
A lot of people hate her because she's a tsundere. I tend to think she's really cute! I heard she gets better in the later episodes. I'm currently watching this anime and I have yet to finish it so PLEASE don't spoil it for me. But I do tend to like her because she's introverted and salty just like I am. Her design is also cute!

11. Madoka Kaname (Madoka Magica)
I never understood the reason people hated her. Yes, she was whiny, but she's had to see her best friends die throughout the series so can you blame her? Apparently, she's considered a Mary Sue just because people hate her. Let me tell you WHY she isn't a Mary Sue:
-She is shy
-She is anxious and has trouble making friends
-Her name is a very common name in Japan
-She feels she isn't good at most things and only wants to be a magical girl just so she can feel like she's good at something
I've used this against a Madoka hater who called her a Mary Sue and he just overreacted and blocked me for no reason other than I liked a character he didn't like. Wow, just wow. Aida Mana is actually a bigger Mary Sue than she is from what I heard.

10.Prince Zuko (ATLA)
Yes, it's 2020, almost 2021 and people STILL hate Zuko as a character. The reasons why are because he apparently doesn't have ANY redeeming qualities compared to Azula or such. Um, excuse me, he has a LOT more redeeming qualities as a villain so his decision to become a hero wasn't surprising and helped him develop as a character. People apparently say he's also a simp and he has an ugly girlfriend he never had sex with unlike Aang. I'm sorry, what? Also, there's been a few hate memes of him on the internet. Particularly Twitter and Tumblr. A lot of them are all VERY annoying. He had a very good, no a GREAT character redemption arc and the series ended with him as a hero on Team Avatar's side. And let me tell you one thing: his character redemption arc made more sense than Kylo Ren of the new Star Wars movies. If you STILL don't believe he has haters, look up "I hate Zuko" on the internet and see how many hate pages and forums come up. This is pretty damn heartbreaking because he was one of the characters in my later childhood I first grew to like.

9. Mash Kyrielight (FGO)
People say she's a flat character with no character growth. And many people also hate her that much that they wish they could burn her. Why? She's useless according to them. I'm just gonna say a few things. She's has a decent amount of growth in the series through her interactions with Galahad and having to learn her noble phantasm. For the record, she is not useless. She manages to be good on certain arts teams and the such. Especially after Camelot. Mash's noble phantasm is apparently a very good one. It can help boost your attack and defense. Double Mash is a good idea, especially during boss fights. At least from my experience. If you play FGO, please be nice to this kouhai and level her well in terms of skills and ascension.

8. Sakura Matou (FSN)
A lot of people tend to hate Sakura for being too girly and feminine. Not just her, but Irisviel as well. I've seen people hate Marie Antoinette for being too feminine as well. It's just a shame. Why aren't girls allowed to be feminine anymore? It's a shame. Also, I felt bad for Sakura mainly during Fate/Zero. She went through a lot of shit thanks to her father giving her off to the Matou family and giving his wife and daughter a hard time. I've heard things about her in Fate/Stay Night Heaven's Feel. Some good and some bad. I just hope I still have a good impression on her in those movies. She isn't my favorite FSN character (that goes to Saber respectfully) but I still don't think she deserves to be hated.

7. Akuta Hinako/ Yu Meirin (FGO)
"Oh, look at this boring character people only like because she's a vampire and waifu material. LEWL!"
Yes, it's JUST because she's a vampire. It's NOT for her relationship with Xiang Yu and/or Lanling Wang that made people like her character. It's not because she was an interesting character in terms of writing. Oh wait, it is all of these. She's a very interesting character and that's why I like her a lot! And her relationship with Lanling is probably my favorite thing about her (minus that one scene where she drinks his blood and he dies).

6. 9S (NieR Automata)
Yeah, I've seen 2B get a decent amount of hate, but 9S gets it worse. People hate him because he is whiny for no reason according to them. It's not like he got angry at A2 for killing 2B or went through a lot more bullet hell and mind rape driving himself crazy. Oh wait, am I kidding? Of course it is. 2B told A2 to kill her because she had the virus but 9S misunderstood the whole damn thing and got angry at her. And it got worse for him from there.

5. Yan Qing/Assassin of Shinjuku (FGO)
Look, he's not 100% bad in terms of gameplay. He's actually better after his rate up quest. Also, he is a good boi and I will protect him at all costs. DON'T tell me to burn him. I also DID like his character in the Halloween event and Murder at the Kogetsukan. I don't have much to say about him but I really like him so far and plan on keeping him. I've also heard he has good character development, especially in Shinjuku.

4.Asuna Yuuki (SAO)
People hate her because she gets in the way of ships and is a damsel in distress in the second half of season one. It's been a while since I've seen SAO, but I've noticed that in the second half in the second season, she had very good screentime and her relationship with Yuuki was one of my favorite things about her! Even in the second half of the first season, she didn't just sit around as a damsel in distress. She's tried to escape several times but that shithole named Sugou was such an ass to her and a rapist.

3. Yuna (Final Fantasy 10)
Most people hate her because she's too weak and girly which is a shame. Or it's because she's a whore for wearing that outfit. :/
I really like her because she's cute, kind, and selfless. She also isn't perfect and is a bit of a klutz. And she isn't weak because in terms of gameplay, she's a strong summoner and a good healer. I have yet to finish the game though so please don't @ me.

2. Noctis Lucis Caelum (Final Fantasy 15)
The reason most people hate him is because he looks like Sasuke, he is whiny and rude, and he's a bad friend in their eyes. To make things worse, they say shit like how he's an overrated character with a terrible fanbase whose fans hate on other characters. That's really NOT a good reason to hate a certain character. Noctis is a good character in my eyes because he went through a lot of shit. He lost the girl he loved, his father died before then, he was trapped in another realm for 10 years, and he eventually died in the end to claim back his kindgom. And did he change through it? Hell yes! He went from an irresponsible 20 year old prince (also, most 20 year olds act like teenagers because they just BARELY hit adulthood) to a full fledged, badass, 30 year old king. Also, he is NOTHING like Sasuke Uchiha. Just saying.

1. Prince of Lanling/Lanling Wang/Gao Changgong/Gao Su (FGO)
For the record, I'm sure most of you would be surprised to see him on here. You're probably thinking "people don't hate Lanling, the fanbase loves him." Well, in Japan he's a pretty popular/well-loved character but after a week when he came to NA, a lot of people on Twitter, Reddit (aka the worst offender in Lanling haters), Myanimelist, Gamepress, and Tumblr started complaining about how bad he is as a character and to an extent, a decent amount of people said he was not a servant you wanna summon. Some even harassed people for liking him and it's just fucking sad. I'm pretty sure someone actually blocked me on Twitter for liking him. (Okay, long rant ahead, but this is gonna annoy the shit out of me and this is the main reason I made this meme).
People hate him because:
-He got wasted in the story (blame Urobutcher then but don't send him death threats)
-He's a complete asshole with no redeeming qualities (no, he isn't; he has plenty)
-He's not Yu Meiren, Medb, Gilgamesh, Ozymandias, Mordred, or such (so, is that really a good reason to hate him?)
-He ruins my OTP (also, if that's Xiang Yu x Yu Meirin than that's the DUMBEST reason to hate him because he does NOTHING but support them and their relationship)
-He's a whiny emo teenager (no he isn't, he's not whiny, emo, or a teenager; he's a 33 year old man and at the youngest his physical body could be 23 which is the age he fought the Mongols with only 500 soldiers)
-He's not hot or sexy like the other boys/he's ugly as hell ( )
-He's a f*lthy (yes, I'm sorry that I had to censor that word but I HATE it being used towards someone's race) Chinese man ( also, get lost you fucking racist)

-He's too girly/feminine (yet Caenis and Mordred are cute tomboys, aka double standards)
-He's the most pathetic character in Fate (no, that's Shinji; that guy named Shitji tried to rape a few characters and runs a lot more than him without fighting; Lanling has fought off Chaldeans and he has never raped anyone or committed serious crimes outside of attempted murder but that's because his master ordered him to)
-He's terrible gameplay wise so burn him for your waifu and use him as rare prisms (yeah, a hybrid of two good caster servants but as a saber is so terrible at gameplay, not; also, people who burn him for their waifus are just a bunch of pathetic losers so for the record, I'm NOT burning my boi)
-He's an antagonist therefore he's evil (for the record, antagonist=/= outright evil; Lanling had plenty of good intentions such as doing EVERYTHING to protect his master and Lostbelt + he was following orders)

It's not like he got angry at A2 for killing 2B or went through a lot more bullet hell and mind rape driving himself crazy. Oh wait, am I kidding? Of course it is. 2B told A2 to kill her because she had the virus but 9S misunderstood the whole damn thing and got angry at her. And it got worse for him from there.

5. Yan Qing/Assassin of Shinjuku (FGO)
Look, he's not 100% bad in terms of gameplay. He's actually better after his rate up quest. Also, he is a good boi and I will protect him at all costs. DON'T tell me to burn him. I also DID like his character in the Halloween event and Murder at the Kogetsukan. I don't have much to say about him but I really like him so far and plan on keeping him. I've also heard he has good character development, especially in Shinjuku.

4.Asuna Yuuki (SAO)
People hate her because she gets in the way of ships and is a damsel in distress in the second half of season one. It's been a while since I've seen SAO, but I've noticed that in the second half in the second season, she had very good screentime and her relationship with Yuuki was one of my favorite things about her! Even in the second half of the first season, she didn't just sit around as a damsel in distress. She's tried to escape several times but that shithole named Sugou was such an ass to her and a rapist.

3. Yuna (Final Fantasy 10)
Most people hate her because she's too weak and girly which is a shame. Or it's because she's a whore for wearing that outfit. :/
I really like her because she's cute, kind, and selfless. She also isn't perfect and is a bit of a klutz. And she isn't weak because in terms of gameplay, she's a strong summoner and a good healer. I have yet to finish the game though so please don't @ me.

2. Noctis Lucis Caelum (Final Fantasy 15)
The reason most people hate him is because he looks like Sasuke, he is whiny and rude, and he's a bad friend in their eyes. To make things worse, they say shit like how he's an overrated character with a terrible fanbase whose fans hate on other characters. That's really NOT a good reason to hate a certain character. Noctis is a good character in my eyes because he went through a lot of shit. He lost the girl he loved, his father died before then, he was trapped in another realm for 10 years, and he eventually died in the end to claim back his kindgom. And did he change through it? Hell yes! He went from an irresponsible 20 year old prince (also, most 20 year olds act like teenagers because they just BARELY hit adulthood) to a full fledged, badass, 30 year old king. Also, he is NOTHING like Sasuke Uchiha. Just saying.

1. Prince of Lanling/Lanling Wang/Gao Changgong/Gao Su (FGO)
For the record, I'm sure most of you would be surprised to see him on here. You're probably thinking "people don't hate Lanling, the fanbase loves him." Well, in Japan he's a pretty popular/well-loved character but after a week when he came to NA, a lot of people on Twitter, Reddit (aka the worst offender in Lanling haters), Myanimelist, Gamepress, and Tumblr started complaining about how bad he is as a character and to an extent, a decent amount of people said he was not a servant you wanna summon. Some even harassed people for liking him and it's just fucking sad. I'm pretty sure someone actually blocked me on Twitter for liking him. (Okay, long rant ahead, but this is gonna annoy the shit out of me and this is the main reason I made this meme).
People hate him because:
-He got wasted in the story (blame Urobutcher then but don't send him death threats)
-He's a complete asshole with no redeeming qualities (no, he isn't; he has plenty)
-He's not Yu Meiren, Medb, Gilgamesh, Ozymandias, Mordred, or such (so, is that really a good reason to hate him?)
-He ruins my OTP (also, if that's Xiang Yu x Yu Meirin than that's the DUMBEST reason to hate him because he does NOTHING but support them and their relationship)
-He's a whiny emo teenager (no he isn't, he's not whiny, emo, or a teenager; he's a 33 year old man and at the youngest his physical body could be 23 which is the age he fought the Mongols with only 500 soldiers)
-He's not hot or sexy like the other boys/he's ugly as hell ( )
-He's a f*lthy (yes, I'm sorry that I had to censor that word but I HATE it being used towards someone's race) Chinese man ( also, get lost you fucking racist)

-He's too girly/feminine (yet Caenis and Mordred are cute tomboys, aka double standards)
-He's the most pathetic character in Fate (no, that's Shinji; that guy named Shitji tried to rape a few characters and runs a lot more than him without fighting; Lanling has fought off Chaldeans and he has never raped anyone or committed serious crimes outside of attempted murder but that's because his master ordered him to)
-He's terrible gameplay wise so burn him for your waifu and use him as rare prisms (yeah, a hybrid of two good caster servants but as a saber is so terrible at gameplay, not; also, people who burn him for their waifus are just a bunch of pathetic losers so for the record, I'm NOT burning my boi)
-He's an antagonist therefore he's evil (for the record, antagonist=/= outright evil; Lanling had plenty of good intentions such as doing EVERYTHING to protect his master and Lostbelt + he was following orders)

If you can be mature about hating Lanling however and don't hate people for liking him, maybe you're allowed.
