"Where are we going?" you murmured quietly, not sure if you wanted to know the answer.

"Clock Tower," he gave a simple answer. By now, he had retired from floating and had taken to his feet, still using his magic to make you float behind him.

"Why?" you pressed on, beginning to annoy the boy.

"Because."

You pouted at this, wanting an answer, "Because why?"

"Because I have a meeting with the moon," he replied flatly.

At first, you were glad to have an answer, but then you realised that you had no idea what he just said. "Wait, what..? Hey, there's no need to be sarcastic!"

The imp just sighed, slouching as he walked, his arms hanging limply by his sides.

"Why are you walking when you can float?" you continued bombarding him with questions, much to his annoyance.

"Why aren't you walking?" he retorted, still walking in a money-like manner.

"Because you're using your magic to force me to float?"

"Touché."

The three of you (don't forget about Tael!) walked down several different corridors, even one that was somehow upside down, and another that was a seemingly bottomless room.

"How odd," you muttered to yourself, earning a reply in the form of a grunt from Skull Kid.

Eventually, the two of you came to a few steps and finally a double door leading to the outside world. The boy put on hand on both of the two doors and pushed them in, bringing in to view Clock Town.

As the natural light flooded in, you squinted a bit and tried to block it with you hand, for you had gotten accustomed to the dimness of the corridors inside.

"Is that Clock Tower?" you asked, pointing at a large tower that was just across from where you currently were. You mentally facepalmed, "Of course it is."

Without answering, the imp began to levitate and float upwards, taking you with him. Tael, still silent, floated near your head as you were going skyward.

You looked down, and instantly became terrified, looking for something, anything to cling onto. As there was nothing nearby, you were scrambling around in midair, trying to remain calm.

"A-are we nearly there?' you squeaked, trying to avoid looking down.

He shrugged, "We're about halfway," the Skull Kid spoke carelessly while looking at you, "Why? You scared?" he sneered.

"N-no," your voice cracked, causing the Skull Kid to laugh wickedly.

Somehow predicting what he was planning, you whipped your head around to look at him, "You wouldn't..."

"Well, I have no particular reason to have you around, so why do you think that?"

Before you knew it, you were hurtling towards the ground at breakneck speed.

You screamed your lungs out, covering your eyes. In your panic, you didn't know or care if the people in the town were reacting in any way. Not wanting to be facing the ground, you managed to flip over, so that you were now falling backwards.

A part of you knew that Skull Kid was just messing around. This made you calmer, and you were able to stop screeching. But now, you were curious; why hadn't he stopped you yet?

With a sinking feeling in the pit of your stomach, you dared to open your eyes, wanting to know why your fall hadn't ceased yet.

To your dismay, the boy was giggling himself silly, having completely forgotten about the fact that you were going to die unless he regained his composure.
