I'm curious how you did those ears because I cannot get them to look like that by simply cutting out the pattern and sewing them.

SamTheMoose101 If you look really hard it looks like they did some stitching on the inside of the ear.

Oh i think you have to sew them on with a curve, maybe mark a little half circle shape on the head with fabric marker and then ladder stitch them on

Awww Vulpix :3
You need to cut out 4 pieces for the ears and pin both with the left sides together. Sew around the line, let the under side open und turn them to the right side. Done!

The most sewers use Minky, SakuSay and me include. It´s good to work with and the soft feeling is unbeatable.
But you can also use fleece or any other fabric u like, it won´t change the shape.

Just a quick question, how does the dart on the head work?Do you sew the sides together before connecting the head pieces?
Also, nice pattern And thanks for sharing!

SakuSay In reply to FoxWriter2 [2015-08-05 19:42:14 +0000 UTC]
Jep thats exactly how you have to do it!
It's there to give the head a nice round shape, otherwise it would look somehow flat from the frontside

SakuSay In reply to LadyGlitch [2015-08-05 08:56:06 +0000 UTC]
You need to Pin it on the body with needles and sew around the neck. With a special stitching technic, shown in this little picture.

LadyGlitch In reply to SakuSay [2015-08-05 09:10:36 +0000 UTC]
So is the material folded in, pinned and then sewn on? I get some of it just not how to make it look smooth if that makes sense since the picture looks like you fold it out

FoxWriter2 In reply to LadyGlitch [2015-08-08 13:41:45 +0000 UTC]
I think you kinda do a ladder stitch after you pin the material on each other, folding the material in a bit by the seam allowance and stitching it in place.Hope this helps

Great work! Thank you for giving out such a cute and easy way to make Ponies for everyone!
Guess this may be the most basic of a Pattern with this less parts, even Derpy can do it with some patience.
One little thing, i know it sounds silly.Maybe you should note that there has to be the free space for turning and where it should be. So something like a red line at the neck bottom and head bottom. For starters it can be a hint where to begin with sewing, also it prevents a "i don´t know what went wrong!?" Situation

Bitte Entschuldige meine Fragerei
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
Baraka1980 In reply to Dexamethason [2015-08-05 04:32:10 +0000 UTC]
