He knew he couldn't be with you, his father would never allow it..

But it just felt so right.

Here he is, in a lively green field with a woman. A woman his father would cringe at and play it off as if he accepted her until they were alone together. Legolas shakes his head at the thought and focuses at what is in front of him. A woman..not just a woman..a human woman.

"Legolas!" you cried out cheerfully as he trails butterfly kisses up and down your neck. You can feel the vibration of his laughter against your bare neck.

"Yes?" He plays it off as if nothing has happened, grinning from ear to ear that brightens his pale sharp features.

"Someone might see us!" He chuckles again "We are a distant away from the elvish border, do not worry my love" he goes back to tracing kisses up and down your neck as you giggle.

He pulls away and stares into your beautiful (e/c) eyes as he tucks a (h/c) piece of hair behind your ear, pressing his lips against your forehead. He places a flower like crown on top of your head as he wraps his arms around you protectively.

"My lady" he huskily whispers into your ear, by the gods he wish this moment could last forever.

He wished..and wished...either time itself or something would grasp you before anything else. Time is different for humans and elves, he wished he could grow old with you; hopefully with children as you watch their kids grow up until life is over.

If Only...

His eyes widen and he falls onto his knees, dropping the bow that use to be in his grasp. Crimson liquid dripping from a maiden..his maiden..his love...

He quickly but gently grasps your palm and gives it a gentle squeeze as you smile softly, gazing up to the love of your life.

"N-nothing can last forever..we knew this day would come.." you say heavily, your lungs screaming for lungs as they slowly fill up with your own fluid.

"But by the hands of an Orc! Nobody deserves that death! Countless of my kin were slaughtered by them..now..my love.." he trails as you weakly place a palm against his pale flesh. His piercing blue eyes looking into your (e/c) eyes as he traces a thumb against your palm.

"I knew what risk i was taking when i was co--" you cough slightly, hiding the pain from your love. Your ribs feel as if their going to break with each gasp of air you take in.

"Shh..please..don't speak" he leans down and places his lips against your forehead like he use to then placing a gentle kiss on your palm.

You weakly smile to your elvish lover "I-i love you Legolas.."

"As do i..(Y/n).."

You begin coughing up your fluid as Legolas gently wraps his arms around you, cradling you as if you were made of glass. He could see the life slipping away from what use to be lively eyes. His father told him never to cry even when his mother died. Legolas's body failed him as his body shutters, nuzzling into what use to be his lover corpse.

"Goodbye my love..."
