Description
This has been sitting in my art folder for a while, so I decided to finish it. It was my attempt to try and give Carmelita a more practical outfit as opposed to a mini skirt and bikini top. I also gave her a haircut because short hair would be more practical in her line of work (but I don't oppose her braided ponytail).Art (C) *Sariels-Hope

Much better then what they gave her in Sly 4.
My first reaction to her in sly 4 was "Carmelita what the hell did they put you in?"

I've never seen Carm drawn with short hair before, and she honestly look so pretty with it short like that! I think this is a very nice alternate design for her.

I have - one of the Sly 4 concept arts has her with short hair. It's the one where she's in a "Police Uniform" (Read: Sexy Halloween costume - police design)

Hmmmmm I do remember seeing her concept art but can't recall the one with her having short hair for some reason. And I call myself a Sly fan.

It would also be cool if they made the graphics better, like more realistic in sly 5, but I wouldn't mind if they didn't.

I've always loved her in pants and her kickass boots. In Sly 5 , they'd better have the decency to put her in pants
The original zipper tube top was questionable enough for police wear to begin, but the Bikini top ughhh

Tell me if this is strange, but this reminds me of the "alternate universe" thing where Cyrille is the hero and Sly is the villian. Don't know why but it does.

It's interesting that you're opting to re-design the gun, too. Is it because her old cartoony gun doesn't fit with the more "practical/military" look you've given her?

Kind of? The gun redesign is mostly just a challenge for myself. Trying to blend cartoon-style with realism and seeing what I come up with
I've always been fond of Carmelita's Shock Pistol. Even though you spend most of the games on the wrong end of it

man this looks good. and for the top, in the cutscenes it looked more like the original that t one during the gameplay in my opinion. i don't know why they shorted it in gameplay

Looking at her concept art again led to this. The artist is very good, but I still feel irritated that it all looks like fetish artwork. (The directorial instructions don't help argue against this interpretation). Heck, even the design where they have her in a police uniform looks more like one of those "Sexy police officer" Halloween costumes than any real uniform.
