Description
Because, I suppose, that's where the work really went on.It's the A-3 scrapbook/sketchbook that went with the Lit Match project, titled Objects.
Two and a half months of slacking, one week of sleepless nights. And days, obviously. And gallons of filter coffee.

It almost seems like this is sort of a...well...artist's diary. It's introspective and intraspective. What's more, it's "the first red book," which tells me there's more. I sure do hope so; this is a total blast to look at. It's almost like getting inside your head. O_O That'd be a pretty cool adventure, I'd think.
This has to be the largest file size deviation in my watchlist (2.3mb pretty much murders my dialup), which is why I took so long to get around to viewing the whole thing.
I recognize the paper mache-ish american flag piece; can't remember who did it, but it's in a museum in New York. At least, that's what the lithograph at Red Robin says. (Good burgers, Red Robin has. Eat there you must if America you visit, mmm.)
How long did it take you to string all the images together? Not the pages in the book, but like, digitizing, resizing and all that.
-sighs- Now that most of it's loaded, I can say, I can see the development process, how it goes from those initial pages at the top to the finished piece. I'm particularly fond of all the hands.
Though, it's a shame there's no egg cartons in this one. >_>

wow. Looks a bit like the research books they make us do at my course, only more arty. The pages with shapes cut out is a great idea
How are the last two pieces done? Looks like a negative-less photo development (it has a proper name but I forgot, I mean putting objects over photographic paper) to me but I dunno...

It's 'idea developement'. Coursework, basically, so they can tell we haven't just plagiarised a final piece from somewhere.
And they're photograms.

Wow. This is amazing!
Although every piece is wonderful, my favorites are the cut-out pages.

Thanks! That's my favourite part as well. I was wondering if people would actually notice them or if they'd think I just copied the same page twice. You're one perceptive lass. *grin*

I think something in my brain died while browsing through those works of yours..
Not that it'd be a bad thing!
Ever tried painting/drawing/whatever some horror/macabre art? I think you'd be excellent at those works.
Considering many your normal works are as dark as those are, you'd make a great horror artist.

I could say a number of things here. i.e. you have a brain, hmm, it was alive and working to start with, etc. But I won't, cause I'm lovely and charming and generous, and such a paragon. Oh yes.
The eggboxes were fairly gory. But no, I usually try to keep my stuff this side of tasteful. Joking aside, I might, one of these days. Now I'm no longer working on-syllabus and can do what I like.

Hah! It's just as well I downsized it so you can't read the writing. If people think English students bullshit.... heh.
Anyhow, thanks so much. Even if it isn't.

YOu're so creative, damn you Those scissors creep me out (the last two), seriously. But in a good way. I like being creeped out.
Also the page with the ducks... LOL!

I love my ickle duckie.
Ooh, wouldn't that make an awesome next object? Rubber ducks in the bath! Inflatable versions of The Very Hungry Caterpillar! And behind all that, investigating how Western cultures manipulate the subconscious of their children at such a young, impressionable age!
*coughs delicately*
Anyway, yeah. Thanks, lass.

I've always mused over what shortcut you use for that pretty smiley there. Care to tell me?
