Originally a Halo swarm fire this one has been paint to resemble the convetant style weapons from the Halo series. the rifle has a metal purple eand blue paint job with a enameled insect like shell coating and can spit out nerf darts a great rate of fire.ΒRelated content

Its aΒ four step paint job
1. spray on a dark purple layer
2.Β once it drys rap it up in fishnet material.
3. re spray in a lighter purple colour
4. once its drys remove the fishnets and respray with several layers of gloss varnish

What exactly is this enamel coating, and how does one do it? What paints do you prefer to use?

Hey sorry for the late reply been away. I use acrylics and spray paint for most of my jobs. the enamel is a clear coating basically the same as clear gloss lacquer. You can buy it in spray cans and it gives a great insect shell shine to alien kit.

you know, build up the cowling, add an extension to the barrel, and you have a storm rifle prop. won't fire nerf bullets any more, but there you go.
