"Jon, we’ve talked about this. No using your powers-”
“In public, I know. But my hands are getting sticky from all the cream…”
Clark shared a quick look with Lois. Then, he nodded. “Okay, maybe this once. But be careful, okay?”
“I’ll make sure no one sees me! Thanks, Dad! You’re the best Dad ever!”
Clark sighed as he felt a puff of cold air against the top of his cap. In the next moment, he could hear Jon licking his ice cream satisfyingly as he carried his father’s cone in his other hand.
“Wait, Clark. You have some ice cream on your cheek. Here.”
“Where? I can try to lick it off-”
“No chance, Smallville. You can lift giant boulders and move faster than a speeding bullet, but a napkin is still your best bet in this situation. Here. I got it.”
“Haha, thanks Lois.”
A drop of pink strawberry ice cream hit the ground just in front of Clark’s right boot.
“Oops, I guess I still need to work on the freeze breath, huh.”
… and the laughter of the Kents rang throughout the neighbourhood that day.
The secret’s out! Clark Kent is a strawberry-ice cream kind of guy I imagine Jon likes his cones sweet and chocolatey, while Lois prefers the classic cookies-and-cream. Also, fun fact! Lois’s outfit is inspired by my own closet!
