how many layers do you usually end up using on these landscapes? or are you just using one layer? either way, very nice work. thanks for the new wallpaper

For these, essentially just one. I'll build up and up with a mix of adjustment, normal, and Overlay layers and then merge back down to one, but I don't keep items separated.
