a larger version, gonna colour this one. one colouring style coming too most likely
dedicated to one of my closest friends Paul.

This is my DnD group again! this time being chased by a minotaur, that happened in the last session, though it was more 'holy crap!' than 'ROFL' but my BF wanted a humorous posing so i did (the concept was his idea). The new guy in the middle is an NPC named thomas, he's bowyn cohort from his leadership feat so it make sense to add him since he's gone with us for a while rather slip away at the end of this campaign.
So from left to right:
Grimmdar (dorf), Vicci (bard, DMPC), Thomas (fighter, Cohort), Bowyn (paladin), Tebetha (sorceress, me)

Amazing piece here, love the style of it (especially the absolute look of confusion on Tebetha's face there).
Being a DM I always love throwing the big bad monster at the group that makes them freak out in horror, though I've never had the group run away (...yet.) But, I'm hoping if they do this is the type of picture they get in their heads.

i think we could of taken the minotaur with ease (if the dm didnt tweak the stats, we'd bested 4 of them before on a mountain) but for RP we couldnt resist the idea of legging it from it in a underground maze. i think it was actually HARDER out running than it was fighting it!

Ah yes, when I DM it's always interesting to see what the players do for the hell of it. I love it when they find out something was easier than expected, but still do something awesome to keep the stakes raised.

Is it just me, or does the girl in the front guy's arms look like she's not entirely sure:
1) What's happening? and
2) How she got where she is?

well i figure tebetha was about to turn around and cast a spell only to bundled up a bowyn's arms and travelling in the opposite direction at great speed. I'd be confused too!

I really should stopp laughing. Have 1-2 stories when our party just ran. I would run too if every character would lost their weapons beside the sorceress. Comparing: our party would just die there... but this is waaaay more fun!

Practice some watercolors and this style will look great.
That or just use some fancy texture brushes to add feeling to your work.

Doesn't have to be watercolors, just find some nifty photshop brushes.
I don't have any specific sites but just google 'free photoshop texture brushes'
Find a bunch you like and then just practice using them. Most of the time it's just a matter of clicking an area and bam, instant depth.
