Awesome perspective of Sigil, it's nice how the Nameless One, Morte and Annah are chatting it up but aren't the subject focus, gives it a pedestrian view. And yeah, I agree with the cool addition of the Beholder and Ilithid. That abishai makes me remember the last time I played Planescape: Torment and not listening to Morte's streetwise advice... Didn't end well.

I like that you added a beholder and Ilithid in this shot, despite neither being seen in the game. With Sigil as the hub of inter-planar activity, it is no surprise to see a little bit of everything.

I love Torment. So much. Unhealthily obsessed, I fear.
Two of the best campaigns I've ever been in were Planescape oriented and one is still going strong. God I miss my tiefling bartender and all the crazy customers.....

I've never played Planescape: Torment before, but Bioware RPGs have a habit of tugging at my heartstrings whenever I hear or see them. Thumbs-up there, mate.

I am very late to the party with this game (bought the D&D collection last week) and its stolen me away from Skyrim ...not bad for an oldie lol.... Anyhoo this is VERY nice it does real justice to the games early setting

love how you've created depth. also love the random mind flayer and beholder, as if they're just regular old citizens who'd be out for a stroll. in sigil, i suppose they could be

From the party composition and the unsavory cast of characters who inhabit the streets (Dustmen, Khaasta, Vrocks, zombies, etc.) this is probably supposed to take place somewhere near the Mortuary district in the Hive, but as a previous commenter pointed out this is FAR too clean and open to look like the Hive (If you've ever read "In the Cage: A Guide to Sigil", you'd know the Hive ward is even crappier than what we see in the game). Rather, I would say it loooks a little more like the Lower Ward.
But these are only minor drawbacks, and I feel petty mentioning the at all. This is an extraordinary piece, with brilliant composition, atmosphere, and perspective. I don't know how long you spent on this, but it paid off in dividends.

Would have to be; you might swing the argument that those are a different tiefling and mimir, but nobody else looks like the Nameless One.

Very nice anyway, I'm guessing this is at least the clerics ward? It looks a little to clean to be around the starting area of the game anyway, but it has some very nice atmosphere. (And for some reason the beholder back there made me laugh out loud.)

I believe ya mean to say the Clerk's ward, cutter, there is no cleric's ward. An' what with all the smokestacks raising ahead I'd wager yer movin' toward the Lower Ward, which only leaves ya at the edge of the Hive or the Lady's; and since, as ya point out, the pickin's are pretty nice here, so I'd say you ain't in the Hive. Chances are yer at the fringe ah the Lady's Ward - the edge of her skirt if ya will - an' movin' yer way into a nastier part of the cage. For a few jink maybe I can scare ya up a tout ta lead ya aroun' ... wouldn' want people takin' ya for clueless.

Ahh yes, I did get my names mixed up. You know how it is, you can't go into a city on the Prime Material without having a fancy schamnsy clerics ward or temple district. A tout would most likely be a good idea, as long as it's a good one that isn't prone to overcharging.

Awesome take on Sigil, our party is planning on going into the Underdark(OH JOY!). Then we are going to eventually end up in Sigil from there.
