Titles seem to be getting harder to come up with!
I was staring at this picture waiting for inspiration when I noticed the empty shelf behind her. The expression 'left on the shelf' came to mind. I think it's common to the USA and the UK? It usually means, in relation to a woman, someone with little apparent prospect of marriage, or a relationship. Well, I somehow thought this girl wasn't going to have any shortage of admirers, and that she would definitely not end up left on the shelf! Somewhat tortuous I know. Maybe I'm feverish!

I'm well aware of the title difficulties, and it make me NUTS sometimes. I just try and let the image tell me, but this dosen't always work.

It does occur to me that, somewhat more straightforwardly, she could just be telling her lover that whatever he/she was looking for is definitely not on the shelf - in which case, of course, neither would she be!
