This is a work in progress photo of a painting I am currently working on. Haven't really started to paint the apple on the right yet. And still needs some working all over. I will post the finished piece later.oil on canvas

I kind of like the unfinished apple on the right. It feels as though the one on the left is fresh, then it wilts and rots and falls off the string. Where did you get the idea for this piece?

I am waiting for the apple to rot to use it as a model for the fallen apple. I am currently working with several paintings dealing with the concept of death. I often use the red string as a symbol of life line.

You can maybe leave the stem attached to the string on the right one? Just a thought.
