I actually like the purple, gold and black scheme. I'm used to Static Having the locs but this Static could be a different one. Really cool Bro!

But wouldn't his neck get stuck to his disk if he had that many chains on because of the magnetism? I can see it now *imagines Static flying bent over on his disk because of all of the chains around his neck*....HA! XD

Sorry, I'm just used to Static having a more ebony skin tone when I look at him. In my area, this skin tone can be considered white, native american, or even mulatto.

Not entirely loving it but I don't hate it either.
I've always liked Staic having some blue in his outfit.
I find it compliments the yellow.
Too much purple, to me, throws off the appeal.
Still over all a good design.
I really dig the hair I like the way your drew it.
I like the jacket to real cool, sort of looks like a gakaran [Japanese school boy uniform].
