Don't you hate it when they refresh dA and make it look all pretty, but you forget what the previous version looked like..?Ahhh, I remember the good old v4 days!! Classy!!
Update 2019:
I haven't used dA much for the past 10 years, noticed that I've missed a few refreshes of this website in that time..
Added the last two (I think) don't know when they updated them though!
Also had to widen it all now we're all using high res displays and websites can't deal.
Note: V3 and 4 are basically the same, but v4 had some new feature... so I left it out..

Makes me feel old. Haha. I found dA in it's v1.2 phase in 2001 but never joined. I lurked a lot because I was wary of the community then but finally seeing all my friends come here, finally "Officially" joined 2004 on v3. I remember all this and wow, time flies.

I Joined in 06 but used it in 03 but wasn't a member but I loved the Old Layout

Oh, I was on the scene right at v5... However, I remember as snooping there before v5 all guestlike. I think I remember the comments nesting terribly xD But I came out of snooping once I found a master painter, and clawed my way on board. The place seems so.. serene, before then. Like, how close everyone was, deviantart was just thanking and thanking people's contributions, anyone who wanted to help out you know. I really respect and appreciate the old designs too; too much clutter in any given websites today. I really respect speed and clarity. haha, remember when we had to click on the deviation names too, before we had thumbnails

I miss v2 so much 
It was such a close-knit community back then. Lots of comments were going around, and if you produced a quality work you were sure to get noticed.

Small online communities either die out or expand to HUGE communities! Oh well, every now and then people notice others around here.. rarely, but it happens..!

Huh, you'd think I'd be thankful of the new version after seeing these but I'm not. I'd happily switch to ANY of these, even the first one with all it's flaws, as opposed to this, sleek, racy... crap.

I think I like v5 most. ...but probably because that was when I decided to join...

People should have the ability to choose their own "design" or "skin" or whatever here on dA.
I prefer the looks of v4, it also was much easier to navigate.
v6 is annoying to say the least... i get an actual headache from browsing the site now!
i never got used to v5, but i would still choose that over v6 any day.....

v4 was way too bland, nothing stood out as the shades of grey were rather similar from the header, body and footer.. Now with the header and footer darker colours they certainly stand out and leaves the eye focusing in on the actual pages content rather than being confused by the monotoneish colours..
You'll get used to it, once you have a look around a bit you'll find everything is still there and a few improvements!!
