There's something beautiful about the raw grit of ballpoint. One of the other things I've come to really appreciate about your work after studying them over the years is how you compose and fill the page: the trees and mountain in the background, for instance.

I like filling up a page. Sometimes it doesn't work as I keep expanding a pose or stance and it ends up looking forced.

I guess it turns out that way. Was just a drawing but ultimately my personal and work art are eternally interwoven.

Oh boy this is amazing and I really am look forward to Warlords of Draenor. Though I wish the hub base for both factions would not be at Ashran and rather the locations where it was originally intended for
Hey Sam do you know why they made this decision?

Nope, I'm on the Heroes of the Storm and Legacy of the Void games at the moment.

Thanks! You can absolutely sketch with ball point. Then you darken over the good parts and the remaining light lines help add texture to the pic. Look at the sword, you can see the sketch lines underneath and on the outside of the dark parts.

When you say ball point pen, you can't possibly mean you didn't sketch a couple bases first... Can you?
Either way, it's pretty awesome!
