Hey, when you draw in pencil, what kind of pencils do you use? I use graphite with different softness and hardness.

Graphite here too. 4H, HB, 2B. I have a 6B up my sleeve if I really need to do something really dark. Most of my graphite work is just to lay out values, though.

You have done an excellent job on the shading. the vein work is good. In fact, you've done an A+ job of creating depth and realism (in as much as a fantasy scene *can* be realistic).
Now I'm really looking forward to the coloring job.
