Description Last week I drew a bot from a children's television program of the late 1970s, Jason of Star Command. This week I've chosen one from a much more contemporary kid's show, Atomic Betty, which ran through the middle to late 2000s. Atomic Betty is an animated show from the Great White North. Created using Flash, it was imported to the US and ran until 2010.

Betty Barrett is a young girl from a fictional suburb of Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan who is a clandestine Galactic Guardian. Every episode shows her involved in some mundane task when her wrist communicator beeps to let her know her services are needed elsewhere in the galaxy.

Aboard her ship are her goofy alien pilot named Sparky, and a helpful robot named X-5. He's the subject of my drawing this week. X-5 speaks in a sort of disaffected, haughty tone but acts rather human. He appears to like human food and show some human emotions. Having no feet, he hovers everywhere.

Drawn in Manga Studio 4 EX with a Wacom Intuos 2 tablet.
