FULL VIEW PLEASEObviously from the movie How to Train Your Dragon. I LOVED this movie, and oh I loved Toothless SO much. I just had to draw a ref sheet of the Nightfuries with all the minor details included. The only thing that may not be correct are the bumps on the back of the two biggest head decorations, I see them as tentacles, and the number of scale spikes along the back, the head, and tail. Those I randomized but everything else should be correct to DreamWorks' design.
You have my permission to color this, which is why I left it blank so you all may use it as a template for your own Nightfury design. Just -please- give me proper credit for my work and link back to the original here. It'd also be nice if you sent me a note with a link to yours! I'd love to see what you all think of~ ;>

Don't pay attention to that person.THis is very good!I just wish it weren`t JPG,because that particula setting thing is not conveinient for Paint >.>But again,very good!Maybe when coloring,you could just make the bumps on it's head decortions(the guy called them "ears" in the 'how to draw your dragon' extra thingy) a darker shade of your nightfury...

Ahhh yeah. When I did this I was actually 100% new to the whole digital art program thing, so I wasn't sure how to get it into a PNG back then. It wouldn't let me. Now I know, though, but the computer it was made on is currently down. Otherwise I'd see if the original file is there and try to save it into a PNG, then update the image to the PNG version.
And you mean the like.. center head bumps? I just thought those were scale decorations, like how some dragons are depicted with a ridge that can span just down the back, tail, head, or any combination of the three.

I think there is not everything where it must be... the wings do not have horns! And what's wrong with his face it looks so strange. Don't get angry when Isay something like that. I don't whant to hurt you! I just say what I think. I wil have art on my site soon to so you say what you think about it to. But it's a very good start i've seen people drawing waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy... uglier things. Rely UGLY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I never noticed the claws on the wings. Interesting. I think with his "ears" they come to a sort of edge with one line of bumps. But I'm not really sure.

Yeh, I never noticed the claws either until I play that game and took some screenies to 'pause' the movement, in a way. It's weird...
Anyways, I'm not too sure about the little 'ear' bumps either... all I know is it reminds me of tentacles.

I didn't see claws in stills from the film. They sometimes adjust some details run into copyright laws, I think. Or they just didn't get it right. I don't know.

its GREAT! but... in the movie toothless doesn't have the wing spikes or "claws"

This is not a -Toothless- ref. This is a -Nightfury- ref. And this -is- spot on despite what you say.
Look at the highlighted areas in the two links. As for the claws, it is seen that it varies on the number of them on the tip, between 1 and 2, possibly maybe more, considering in one highlight it has 2 claws per wing tip, and the other it has 1 per wing tip. As for the dew claw, some DreamWorks pictures show it as a dewclaw, slightly higher up and shorter than its surrounding 3, and others show it as a regular claw. Regardless, I'm too tired to go into every single detail of all the craploads of DreamWorks pictures I studied, so just use these two.
