Description
I had someone online who's a major Disney fan asking me if I could draw a step by step tutorial on how I come up with my dog drawings. I'm no Disney employee, but anyways I gave it a whirl seeing as she/he was kind enough to contact me personally onnit. She also mentioned it was for the benefit of those who liked my dog style drawings, so I hope it does satisfy the curiosity of others.I owe a lot of art work to lots of you folks out there! Couldja please lemme know here if you could,to remind me? I'd really appreciate it. THANX!
*doh* Typo in Step 2. >.<

I really do love how you draw objects, especially dogs. I like their eyes and fur...you're a really good artist. If you ever think about doing another tutourial, do you think you could go more indepth? I mean, this is good but it doesn't show how you draw certain parts(like the eyes, nose, paws, legs, etc.) I think it would be more helpful if you'd do it like that because I couldn't really follow the steps by just looking at the picture from some odd reason.
You know how you said a Disney fan asked you to draw this? Well, I know you said you weren't a disney employee, so then what style is this similar to? I'd really like to know because I'd love to be able to learn how to draw like this^^

I'm influenced a lot by Disney cos I grew up watching all their cartoons. So my style is Westernized and sort of Disney'isk...but that's my signature style.
I'll prob do a short vid clip of how I start on a dog character for you if you like. Just gotta find the time if you'll wait for it.

Oh I'd love it so much if you'd do that! That'd be such a big help and yeah, I'll wait for as long as it takes...I'm just estatic that you even offered, lol.

oh.. so you just draw it. I see.. *l*
Actually, I always start with the head and eyes too.. But sometimes it screws me up because the head can end up in the wrong porportion to the rest of the body.. So I always try to quickly flesh out the entire body early on in the drawing..

I try to do that too,but coz I rushed this,I get lazy on going thru the process immediately. Call it a reflex action, hehe!

You should work at Disney! Send in your portfolio! Although, Pixar's the in thing right now. Great stuff even for a little tutorial sandra~

The contrast's set rather low, even on my monitor and even compared to the tutorial I recently posted. I can barely see the pencil lines.

You should point her in the direction of Ken Hultgren's "How to Draw Animals".
He worked on Disney's Bambi

What type of pencil do you use for sketching and then what type of ink pen? Size, brush or not, that kind of stuff. If you have a chance.

Sorry for the late reply, pal! I'm slowly going thru my mail.
Well, I'm partial to use my regular red mech pencil (rotring Tikky II 0.5) with 2B lead...with a light perhaps 2H pencil handy. Thats what I always use, when u see most of my sketches. Hope that helps.
