It's been 4 years since starting and finishing this in Lightwave. I think it's probably my favorite mesh, but so large (at the time) that it was difficult to load into Lightwave's layout program. One of my favorite "Gundams" even if it's not in the UC timeline.The mesh is "based" off of the Perfect Grade kit, with adjustments made to better suit the detail of the X100 frame Astray illustration from the Perfect Grade Strike kit -- which is actually a bit different in appearance, though ostensibly the same mobile suit.

Software: Lightwave 8.5 (modeler, renderer, Photoshop (post process)

with all the respect to the UC fans, i'm not too fond of it... since i grew up with wing (and beyond).
with that said, the only suits that i frigging love from the "SEED timeline" are this awesome astray red frame, the nebula blitz, and the glorious strike noir!
the rest doesnt strike me as much *pun not intended*

I love the Strike and Astray. Pretty much the whole x100 line. I'm not very aware of the Nebula Blitz so I can't say much there -- but I'm also a UC fan so I enjoy a lot of the old timey stuff as well.

Yeah, i don't know every Gundam Mecha, but this one is good with his samurai look alike.

Just got the Hi-Nu, Sinanju, Unicorn 2 Banshee, Wing Custom VerKa, Seravee Designers Edition, FAZZ titans.
But i'm still sitting on like the Wing Custom Zero Perfect Grade, Strike Gundam Perfect Grade, Deathscythe Hell Custom EW ver MG, Unicorn MG, a couple of Zaku IIs for experimenting, Epyon EW MG, and a Mega Scale i can't recall the name of at the moment.

That's a darn good haul. I've not had the chance to get at least half of those. I'd especially like to get the DSH custom, but again...I just don't have the room for it

Yeah, lesson I learned in all this, Master Grade, Perfect Grade, Real Grade, everything else is NOTHING!
And the DSHs cape makes for a WICKED baterang! XD

Definitely my favourite Gundam from the C.E timeline, and one of my all time favs- I love the Astray series! This a fantastic pose and a great rendering. Was it based on the PG frame? In any case, it's great to see Gundams from you again!

Yes, it sure was based on the PG, with some parts based on astray pg mockup in the strike pg kit manual.

I have to agree, even though it's not in UC/my favorite timeline it just has this cool impression about it. Color scheme is simple but the armor design and the fact that it wields a katana just give it this imposing look
