Description Heres the shots from my advanced rendering tech at university. I had alot of fun with this since The Matrix is actually the only series of sci-fi films that Ive ever watch through from start to end. I also thought this was a good choice since unreal excells at sci-fi machines.

Programs used:
Photoshop
3DSMax
xNormal
zBrush
Unreal 3 engine

all of the models have been modeled and textured and modelled by myself and with my own photos and custom brushes.

model sheets can be seen at this [link]

composition*

thanks i did do alot of research and I think im getting it now, I find you cant just use one type, that dont work. it seems that when multiple composition techniques are used the whole piece benefits from it.

thanks

what? i dont understand, why do you need the unreal engine?

nice you finally got some more matrix stuff on dA!

the lights inbetween the tentacles are glowing bright everywhere!
actually that doesnt happen in the movies, they do glow, but in the packs they dont seem to. hmm interesting

thanks I use the unreal engine because it just makes things look real nice and better than a max render plus it looks good on my portfolio

as for the glow I made the flow different purposley because I wanted to make some artistic changes to help the piece feel more artistic than mega acurate.

thanks for the comment

no actually i think its more accurate if they look really bright when all bunched up!

yes maxs render system is shit, although i have seen some bery nice mental ray renders

you need to get a copy of vray render system, its highly realistic and awsome!
although im guessing this render of yours with the unreal engine was pretty much instant?

yeah this is realtimein unreal so I can just open the scene and hit print screen but there is a screenshot method too, but it can be a little iffy.

I amthinking of getting vray the results it gives do look real nice.

thanks again
