Description
Sophie and Howl from Howl's Moving Castle, by Diana Wynne Jones. They're one of my favourite couples from fiction. They're always arguing, so I tried to show them that way...There's also Calcifer and Michael ('s shadow) in the background:}

The picture is more inspired by the book than the movie based on it ( since I like the book better). That's why Sophie has red-gold hair (or ginger as Howl calls it), Howl has green eyes and is wearing a blue suit...and also why their castle looks like a giant chimney or something (DWJ said that's how she pictured it in her head)

The picture took really long to color...I took a few shortcuts with the grass, and with the patterns on Howl's suit by using the brush tools in photoshop.
