Oooh la la
What a lovely couple!
Great work on their attire! The horns and piercings look great too!

the body language is lovely :] how did you come up with the pose if I may ask? did you for example see a picture of a couple in a similar pose or did you come up with the pose and just drew it straight away? because I have trouble with both strategies myself... when I look at reference pictures the result looks staged and artificial and when I draw "from feeling", I get the anatomy wrong..

In some cases clients tell me to go on my own, sometimes they gave me lead on a gesture. Most of the time they request a specific pose and provide ref. This case here:
i.gyazo.com/d425a3b8ef964d48e5… I got leads on how to change the pose - however no tracing is involved. It helps to get rid of the stiffness if you quickly sketch on roughly the basic pose.
Then just work on your sketch and dont mind the reference. That way you add your personal touch.

Thank you for the info! I'll try to keep that in mind the next time I work from reference.
