Description Tulkas Astaldo the Valiant
Greatest in strength and deeds of prowess is Tulkas, who is surnamed Astaldo, the Valiant. He came last to Arda, to aid the Valar in the first battles with Melkor. He delights in wrestling and in contests of strength; and he rides no steed, for he can outrun all things that go on foot, and he is tireless. His hair and beard are golden, and his flesh is ruddy; his weapons are his hands. He has little heed for either the past or the future, and is no avail as a counsellor, but is a hardy friend.

The Silmarillion, 'Valaquenta'

If you wanted someone on your side, Tulkas is the one I would chose. He just seems like a fun character. He reminds me of Gimli in some ways! This is actually a redo I did of Tulkas; the first is quite...sad. I'll post it later so I can get feedback (be gentle!). mechanical pencil, pen, prismacolor.

I like Tulkas here, and I love your work on the other Valar!

Nevertheless, I always pictured Tulkas with a thicker beard, and more muscular. I always thought that he would look the least "Elf-like." But that's me. Outside of me petty criticism, I like this work! Well Done!
