I'm guessing it is not CAT for cat (feline)... isn't it?
btw, did the gif help you any bit on your creations?

hehe, no.. CAT stands for Character Animation Toolkit.. its one of the 3 ways we can rig a character inside 3ds max..
i havent done walk cycles for a while cause im focusing on the rigging now.. but once i get the rigging done ill be back at walk cycles too and then ill definitely start using that gif too.. i just dont like animating in poser that much.. the program is to weird and it doesnt have all the option 3ds max has.. so it a lot more fun to animate inside 3ds max.. so i have make my character rigs in 3ds max so i can start animating them fully in 3ds max too.. just like i did her with the jumping bunny/cat..

what do you mean, babes ?

thewhiteboardist In reply to SaphireNishi [2013-04-02 14:29:19 +0000 UTC]
It just looks like there are tendons on the inside parts of its feet/ankles when it jumps. Just a small detail. You don't see them when its standing still. I was guessing as to why.

SaphireNishi In reply to thewhiteboardist [2013-04-02 15:07:54 +0000 UTC]
oh, well thats because of bad modeling from my side.. there is weird edge flow going on at the feet, and that results in this weird effect on the feet.. i never really knew why edge flow was so important.. but now i know

were the stretched "muscles" in his feet intentional, or a "clipping" issue?
Good to see your still at it ^^

SaphireNishi In reply to Dariaux [2013-04-02 13:37:48 +0000 UTC]
no it not intentional.. i think its from bad modeling actually but im not sure.. the edge flow is kind weird on that place which give this weird effect.. i think i kinda messed up on the foot.. but then again i learn a lot with this one again

Dariaux In reply to SaphireNishi [2013-04-03 09:34:44 +0000 UTC]
well, it looked like a decent attempt at "muscle tension" honestly
didnt look that bad ^^

SaphireNishi In reply to Dariaux [2013-04-03 09:37:04 +0000 UTC]
hehe.. well im still trying to figure out how the whole rigging thing works.. so intentional muscle tension is still far away..
