Description
..and an other attempt on a walk cycles..now please, people.. try to think a little bit before leaving a comment.. i know there is still a lot wrong with the animation.. the walk still is very slippery, and it feels very rigid.. i know that.. so please dont tell me the obvious.. i think everybody knows what and how a walk cycles should look like and that includes me too.. the problem here is projecting the movement on the model itself.. please realize there is huge difference between knowing theoretically how it works, and actually making it..
i know physics arent working either.. im just not trying to get that working yet, so there is no hair movement, no boob bouncing and so on.. i need to get a good understanding about body movement first before i can start doing physics on the body too..
now i dont say that you cant leave a critic, i actually appreciate it when you do, but if you do then please be sure you know what you are talking about and dont state the obvious.. this is all about learning and experimenting, and no one ever learned anything from the obvious and/or nonsense.. thank you..

I think you did a fantastic job! I wish I could do animations but alas it will take too long(to render) to be practical.

You must be an extraordinarily patient person, Sabrina. My patience consists of sitting in a chair, tapping my foot on the ground, arms crossed with my fingers of my right hand tapping my upper left arm, and glancing at my watch every so often when I am not staring at the computer screen lol

sounds about the same way i do it if im actually waiting infront of the pc to wait for a render.. i basically have two things in life i really love to do.. one is 3d'ing and the other is play on my synthesizer.. so if im render and need to wait i just play some tunes on my synthesizer.. time flies when i do that

yeah.. playing piano is actually lot more fun the playing on a synthesizer.. but a piano is just wat to big and i cant plugin a headphone either so i cant play during then night then either.. so im stuck to digital music till i got my own villa and no complaining neighbors.. am i good ? i dont know.. i do know im way better at playing piano then i am at 3d'ing..

Way better than you are at making 3D artwork? But that would suggest that your piano skills are phenomenal! Wow! With skills like that, I am surprised that you haven't gone pro yet

haha.. well i dont know if my skill are phenomenal.. but i know my way around on a clavier.. the family always kept telling me not to go into music but finish my study and be totally focused on that.. so i actually did that instead of what i really liked doing.. its probably why im still working in a coffeeshop and love working there.. so i got time for my creative side as well.. instead of sitting in the family business and sitting behind a desk all day long doing boring accounting stuff

The limits of DAZ/Poser are the only issues that hinder this
In the walk your knees would be banging and chaffing against each other
and your fingernails would have slice up your hips
and the shoulders set back more than the would on a Human walking
The lower body motion, Perfect
Does the "RL" Saphy sway like that ?

SaphireNishi In reply to yankee30 [2013-02-16 19:08:53 +0000 UTC]
well that depends on the charatcer you are using.. the vicotria4 model does have a couple of weird things going on but for walk cycles she works perfectly.. the limits arent in the software.. the limits here are purely in the know-how of the animator..
haha.. and yes, the rl saphy has a sway like this too.. actually a way better one...

a lot better you're getting great at this! but for some reason you make her ars rest on her thigs for an instant. and her arms move too much for the walk she's walking casually but her arms move like she's having a power walk. adjust that and i think she'll look a lot more natural.

lol.. i know.. i can see that it stops and that its not perfect.. you are not telling me not something that i dont see.. the problem is how to correct it.. if you know that we get much further.. but i guess like everyone else you just point the obvious faults.. but no solutions what so ever.. but dont worry.. ill figure it out myself

oh i see... well with the "fixing part" i can't really help but saying that the arm movoment must match the walk if they move to fast or heavily, it will look unnatural.
but you'll get there^^ u got talent.

What I see is a lot of progress. The back to front and the front to back walks are starting to seem naturally, especially how the hips are moving and how this movement is translated in the way she uses her legs (one in front of the other). This really has improved from the previous trials and is essential to make the animation convincing. The butt-cheeks are well aniamted too! Yeah the floor is slippery and there is still some 'gravity' missing but then again compare this one with the ones you made a month ago and I'd say you've earned awell-deserved round of applause!
