Description
..and an other attempt on a walk cycles..now please, people.. try to think a little bit before leaving a comment.. i know there is still a lot wrong with the animation.. the walk still is very slippery, and it feels very rigid.. i know that.. so please dont tell me the obvious.. i think everybody knows what and how a walk cycles should look like and that includes me too.. the problem here is projecting the movement on the model itself.. please realize there is huge difference between knowing theoretically how it works, and actually making it..
i know physics arent working either.. im just not trying to get that working yet, so there is no hair movement, no boob bouncing and so on.. i need to get a good understanding about body movement first before i can start doing physics on the body too..
now i dont say that you cant leave a critic, i actually appreciate it when you do, but if you do then please be sure you know what you are talking about and dont state the obvious.. this is all about learning and experimenting, and no one ever learned anything from the obvious and/or nonsense.. thank you..

Her ass and hips look great and I like it that you can see her footprints. As for her arms and legs... Well, I can't do 3D animation worth shit so I'm not going to criticize. Keep it up Saphy. We're watching.

^_____^ great work! You're getting there! This in many ways is already looking a lot better! Did any of the links help out at all? I remember finding this after I sent you the other links. I watched the whole thing. It was pretty informative. He uses Maya...and the guy he's animating is a lot more cartoonish and other things get exaggerated ...but he's pretty specific on weight shifting, gravity, and applied force and with a mind for more realistic and believeable movement....so it's at least worth a look see. Its about 28 minutes. Anyways, keep it up!!!!!! <3

thanks.. yeah, i watched the whole vid a couple of times actually.. its very informative and it give a good understanding on how things work.. its one of the best vid i have seen that explain a bit how walk cycles actually work..

I think you have something there. I can picture it in my head; the same walk at a much slower pace will look quite realistic.
If you can slow it down a bit, I think you're almost there.

well i took the average speed of 7,5 km/h.. thats what she is walking now.. that should be pretty normal.. im not sure slower would add anything to the animation.. im not sure tho, so ill have to try that out to she how it looks then..

starlightpainter In reply to SaphireNishi [2013-02-14 00:42:05 +0000 UTC]
That's too fast. The average human walking speed is only about 2-3km/hr. Really, it is. And a sexy walk is even slower. Use the same file and just slow it down. You almost have it.

haha.. dammit.. its suppose to say 3,5.. not 7,5 7,5 would be running indeed
ill try slower tho.. see how that will look
thanks babes..!!! ;D

SaphireNishi In reply to desitomcruise [2013-02-13 20:45:19 +0000 UTC]
well i actually have to worry about the shoulders.. thats all part of the basic movement.. so that has to be corrected and worked on.. glad you like it so far...

Zenabatos In reply to ??? [2013-02-13 01:10:03 +0000 UTC]
Very nice job overall, only thing I have to comment on is the hair and hips/shoulders. In a normal walk there would be some kind of hair motion caused from the movement and in this I didn't see any. Just lacked that feel of realism. And as for the hips and shoulders they should move in unison. They just need to move together like a normal walk. Also maybe a little show of some facial exspression and slight neck movement could help to. This is my advice and suggestions to you. Keep up the great work your improvement is noiceable

SaphireNishi In reply to Zenabatos [2013-02-13 20:43:54 +0000 UTC]
would have been nice if you would have read the description on this deviation first beofre leaving a comment.. as i explain above too, hair is part of the physical calculations, and im not doing that yet.. same goes for facial expressions which are all part of the secondary layer of animations.. im still only focusing on basic body movement.. the hips and shoulders already do work together but i guess its just not enough yet..

hmm possibly the hip might look more realisti of you try some eight-like circling motion.

Captain-Pyro In reply to SaphireNishi [2013-02-13 21:45:14 +0000 UTC]
i think i noticed something!
the body doesn't move up and down. it looks like the upper body is floating in the air ... always on the same height ... and the legs just fill the gap between the hips and the floor °~°
perhaps if you imagine her weight resting on one leg ... or at least some tiny shaking with the head and the shoulders, like shes following her weight...

SaphireNishi In reply to Captain-Pyro [2013-02-13 22:23:34 +0000 UTC]
hehe.. well i can imagine as hard as i want but that wont improve the animation at all.. the problem is projecting what is it you want to achieve on the actual model.. i know she need to go up and down when she walks.. but the problem is achieving it..

Captain-Pyro In reply to SaphireNishi [2013-02-14 00:44:09 +0000 UTC]
well, i can barely imagine how to create such an animation or what programs you use so i guess i won't be of much help o_o°
if it's more than frame by frame capture it's too much for me xD

hair sway would fall under physics I suppose. I do like the fact her knees slide past when she walks, gives it an awesome real feel in her walk.
What are the pink spots suppose to be when she walks away? foot prints? is she walking on snow or with painted legs?

SaphireNishi In reply to otakuishi [2013-02-13 20:39:16 +0000 UTC]
yeah, hair is part of the physical attributes.. the footprints she leaves behind are actually a GI problem.. it wasnt suppose to do that at all but i think it looks kinda cool

The buttocks are absolutely perfect (in both motion and design).
The only non obvious suggestion I can make is that it would really help if she blinked sometimes.
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
SaphireNishi In reply to Lodasian [2013-02-13 20:36:52 +0000 UTC]
thanks.. but blinking and just like breathing is all part of secondary part of the animation.. its like an overlay over the existing animations.. but im not worried about that yet.. i need to get the basic animation right first before moving on that..
