So after a reaaaaaaally looooooong, hiatus here I am, participating in a contest of the great Lyhtypylvas . This is the link of the journal where the information is: fav.me/d930ftw

About the zinc thingy I've short of investigated about it before saying and making something impossible: I did an experiment in a lab at school a few years ago and it was about how different materials affected fire. I found my notebook where I made notes about it and saw the color in which a flame would turn if zinc was thrown at it. That's when I decided to give something "special" to Ignado haha So I made some research about zinc and found, that in rich caves (with abundance of materials), zinc could be present from a 40 to a 50% . I couldn't resist myself from adding this feature to Ignado's day a day life ^^
By this design I've looked really carefully the personality, background and environment, trying to understand how all these things would affect the character, hence the dark bags under his eyes and the anger look in his face (for being a leader and power-hungry dragon). I hope I did justice to the design and that no matter the contest results you guys like it
This is one of the designs I've most taken care of and I'm really proud of it, especially after this huge artblock I've been in, so no critics please!Also, I've tried a new type of shading, a soft yet detailed shading. I think I'm gonna try it more in the future x,D

Vaya felicidades Sari <333, la verdad que se nota que pensaste mucho en este diseño, es fantástico y adoro cada detalle que tiene, me gustan esas marcas media atigradas que tiene, junto a esos "respiradores" o "branquias" o lo que sean le dan un toque muy único XD x3. Ademas que le pegan a su personalidad paranoica por lo que veo y dices XD. La anatomía es hermosa y obviamente tu coloreado y sombreado mas todavía, como me encanta tu estilo x3.
Que por cierto y ya que esta necesito opinion, pienso darle al mio un toque así mas atigrado con sus marcas para darle un toque mas natural y realista, pero le dejare las marcas tribales como una especialidad genética dada de nacimiento por ser un dragón guardián de luz, donde cambia sus marcas atigradas por las tribales para concentrar mas sus poderes a la hora de combatir. Igual puede utilizar cualquiera de las dos marcas cuando se le antoje, que te parece? XD.
Y en fin, bonito trabajo y contento de volver a verte y que hayas ganado, igual muy sorprendido no estoy ya que siempre fuiste impresionante XDD.

Muchas gracias Draken!! Sí que lo pensé mucho, quería crear un personaje pero teniendo en cuenta todo lo relativo a él, porque es lo que nos hace a nosotros ser como somos (por qué un diseño de un personaje no iba a merecer lo mismo? 
Me parece buena idea, aunque había pensado que si es un guardian de luz podrían ser marcas brillantes o algo, molaría mucho

Sip tu lo has dicho, así es como pensé en el mio, incluso el color es por varias zonas que tienen tierra rojiza, ademas de la patagonia que es todo así casi. Pues mujer, es que tu eres alguien con una habilidad de alta gama, capaz de todo y de hacer cosas maravillosas. Ademas creo en ti y en lo que haces x3.
Oh no te preocupes al final no va a cambiar nada, queda como esta, solo habrá un cambio mínimo en algunos detalles como el símbolo pero mas que eso nada, las marcas atigradas en cambio las pasare a una armadura, así como para hacerla camuflada y militar XDD. Es que mi dragón ya esta bien como esta no necesita mas cambios, ademas sus marcas brillan cuando utiliza sus poderes o solo por puro placer de querer brillar(le gusta ser fabuloso (?) XDDD).

No lo veo mal pero me parece mucho detalle para mi dragón, da mas trabajo y lo hace pesado para la vista, así que no va a pasar. Eso si capaz diseñe un nuevo dragón así a pesar de que soy de tener uno único como representación mía(capaz lo haga como para representar un amigo).

Ah bueno, ya me muero de ganas de ver cómo sale ^^ Yo sí que tengo que cambiar mis personajes, todos además. Tengo pensados grandes cambios para ellos 
Queda un poquillo cargado sí, a veces quedan mucho mejor los diseños simples

Bueno es una de muchas razones, cada detalle de mi dragón tiene una razón, tanto personal como natural por la zona donde vive x3. Y lo haras no dudes XDD.
Con tiempo lo veras x3. Uff tantos cambios pensas hacer? Alto laburo te espera entonces pero aun así, me encantara verlos <33.
Y naah no voy a tener tantos, sino me vuelvo loco XDD

I liked how "easy" it was for me to do this shading and it was so pleasant to the eye from my perspective that I will most probably continue doing it that way
