Its so beautifully rendered and the edges are perfect to give it shape. Do you have any tips to share? I'm new to charcoal and we just did our midterm drapery assignment. I think mine turned out okay but nothing like yours.

Wow... tips... haha, well, I used a "shammy" and blending stubs to get it smooth. Even when the stubs got dirty, I used them to subtly draw in values that were barely noticeable so as to give it a more realistic feel.... Is there something you're specifically interested in? It's not easy to give tips off the top of my head!

Actually, the thing I've had the most difficulty with this semester is hard edges. I just can't seem to get them. Any tips for that would be wonderful!

Yes drawing drapery is hard, but you did it quite well. Love the piece as a whole from the composition, to the use of light and dark and also the folds of the fabric. Im adding this to my favorites. If you want you can check out the drapery drawings I did, so I can feel your pain I had to do it a lot in school.

hahaha, thank you. i had to redo a lot of things to get it to look like this. I would have to say it took me at least... 5-10 hours.
