[Behance ]I was putting off showing this because it was taken away to be reviewed for the student show before I could scan it, buuuut looks like I'll never get to scan it because it got sold! HELL YES. It's a bittersweet feeling, because I like keeping my work but hey, moneymoneymoney.
I actually stressed out over this a lot while working on it. It was like, 10pm the night before it was due and only half-way done and I was panicking. I kept on thinking, "Oh it's gonna be terrible" "I'm gonna get an F" "Life is worthless" you know, the normal homework stress thoughts. But then when my teacher saw it he actually sort of argued with me on how good it is because I was still in the pessimist mindset and he kept on saying, "But don't you think it looks convincing?"
Now I do. And apparently everyone else does too because I can't recall a person I've shown who didn't at first think it was just a piece of paper I photographed.
Done on Strathmore paper with ebony pencil, white charcoal, and a blending stump.

When I saw this at the CCS Student Art Show, I thought it WAS actually a piece of crumpled paper mounted and framed. Incredible rendering.
