This is my constructed language called "Nue Bhe," alternatively spelled as "NΓΌ Bve" (and is pronounced like "nyooh-vay"), which I began making in 2005. Back then it was just recreating words, as I was just a fifth grader. As time went on and I took language classes, I began making some changes and tried to add grammar. It was not until 2010 that I really buckled down on it. It has many grammar rules, over 7,500 words (including all functions per word), and now, a script. It is constantly growing, and perhaps some day it will be complete.

As for the script, I am also constantly editing it. About every couple of months a letter is changed, so I wouldn't suggest trying to learn how to write this. If you for some reason have an overwhelming desire to, check back here every once in a while to see changes.

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Do you remember this ?
OF COURSE YOU DON'T! I wouldn't expect you to, it's been buried in my scraps for ages, even I forget about it.
Anyway, that was a sample text for a language I've been creating called "Nue Bhe." That was my first attempt at actually making script for it. Eventually I found some major flaws in it, and slowly began to find it more and more displeasing, aesthetically. I gave up on it. Though I occasionally continued to work on the language (which is now fairly advanced), I gave up on script.

But just recently, a friend of mine came over, lost260 , and showed me something called "Codex Seraphinianus", and then something called the "Voynich manuscript". I was INSPIRED. Why? You'll find out if you look them up!

So anyway, I spent about 24 hours figuring this out and then made this alphabet/cipher due to my own wishes as well as popular demand!

And here you have it! You can transliterate whatever you want into this flourishy, flowy, flippy text!

Yes, there is no J. Don't ask why. There just isn't.
I made a decision early on to not have J's because it didn't sound right with the rest of the words; it didn't sound like the same language. If you want to use these graphemes to write an English word that has a J in it, put the glyph for "Zh" in its place (look up there, it's not a digraph in Nue Bhe, it's just one letter.)

Nue Bhe Β© Me - Again, no redistribution without my permission.

P.S. ~ Language is art!

You wouldn't be able to learn it just from looking at this though, there are a lot of nuances and little things that change with the diacritics that are dependent on what letters are next to each other.

Then go ahead ; v ;

Check out the "Nue Bhe Diaries" link in the description.
Since I have it memorized and can write it as fast as I can write English print, I have made countless pages of it. It's great if you want to write out something that's bothering you as an outlet for stress! 'Cause no one can read it!

IT'LL MAKE ME SO PROUD.

asdfghjkl;
Being an Anglophone, I am really confused at all the "AE" "DH" and "DZ" etc etc.
WOULD IT MAKE YOU ANGRY IF I JUST LEARNED A-Z AND USE 'ZH' AS J? xD
Also, Before I forget,
Wow. You're amazing. You had the perserverance to make such an awesome alphabet, language even. I really admire you for that. <3 CONGRATS. :3
I just recently finished learning Japanese Hiragana and Katakana, so this will most likely be my next project. CHALLENGE ACCEPTED. >:3

ToxicOxygen In reply to kimmodude [2011-05-13 10:20:02 +0000 UTC]

Oh, the "AE" is German and makes a sound like "bat" and "cat". "DH" is like an alternate spelling of English "TH". "TH" is like "thought" and "think", and "DH" is like "the" and "that". And "DZ" is... well, put them together! Duh, and zuh, but wicked fast so that they merge. And if you notice at the very bottom of the description I say that you SHOULD use "ZH" ats "J"! XD

But here's what I do when spelling in English... I use the "ZH" as "J", of course, but I don't use "AE" (unless I'm feeling fancy and I want to spell every single English word phonetically, which I do sometimes) and I don't use "DZ" because, well... There are no words that use that in English. But I do use "DH" and "TH" separately, like were I to spell the aforementioned examples.

And oohh, Japanese? I wanted to learn Japanese at one point, but then I had this strange fascination with Chinese XD STILL learning the characters, because I don't think I'll ever know them all...

Oh, wow! Thanks for taking your time to explain. If I ever manage to learn this, I'll do A-Z with ZH and DH.
OH. After learning a little Chinese myself, I just remembered ZH sounds like J. o u o;;

Chinese is hard, isn't it?! I'm fascinated by the characters, but the speaking part is just impossible. xD

In case you actually still were trying to learn this (I really doubt it, but that's no problem, it's not like I was actually expecting anyone else to learn it like how I know it) I'd just like to say that I actually fixed a multitude of things since May, including in certain letters for others, touching things up, and completely changing D and DZ.

kimmodude In reply to ToxicOxygen [2011-08-22 00:39:20 +0000 UTC]

I must say that no, I haven't been learning it. However, I haven't forgotten about it. I've been caught up in learning Japanese and Chinese, and French. I will say one thing though! Your language you created yourself has really given me a will to learn language more. It's really sparked my interest. So until the day when I take my time to learn Nue Bhe, I want to say thank you for giving me willpower to learn and understand a little more about language. :3
